the progress of my small garden this September

Recently, when I was on holiday from my office, I prepared myself to plant chilies. I planted several chili plants and now the chilies that I planted 2 months ago have started to flower and grow well and I am very happy to see my garden developing. It is starting to produce a little fruit, and there is even one that is starting to turn red.

Well, even though I can't harvest it yet, I'm also very happy that maybe in a month I can harvest this chili and these flowers will also grow into fruit. I think but not only that, I also started planting other chilies which I have started to fence around the edge of the pot. For example, like this.

I planted the chili plants in these pots just about two weeks ago, using the same seeds I used for the chili plants that are already flowering and bearing fruit. And when I saw my chili plant growing very well and I was very happy then I intended to plant it again like this and I think that when my plant grows well it cannot be separated from the fertilizer that I gave it, namely I have said in my previous post that I gave it my own homemade fertilizer.

And I have been really into gardening lately because I feel that by gardening I can give myself positive energy when I have nothing to do.I came home from work with a very tired body, but when I saw my plants growing well, seeing green views like this made my eyes feel fresh and I was very happy, and when I watered my plants on Tuesday morning, I also felt very calm.

To be honest, I used to think I couldn't garden, but now my garden is actually about to produce a harvest. It turns out gardening is really enjoyable. I often see my neighbors doing it—even if it's just a small plot in their yard; I’ve done the same by turning the small space in front of my house into a mini garden.

It’s not just chili plants; I’m actually growing a purple eggplant plant too. I love purple eggplants, so I decided to grow one myself—even if it is just a single plant, hehe.

Besides that, there are also lime leaves. You can plant lime leaves when you need to cook with them. This way, I don't have to worry about buying them outside or looking for them at my neighbors'. I think having a lime tree in our yard is very important.

As for the area behind my house, I have also planted some cassava and chili plants. But unfortunately my chili plants grow with curly leaves, I don't know what the reason is that the leaves grow curly and don't flower at all, even though I planted them 2 years ago and I want to find out why until now I haven't found out. What is the cause? Is it because the soil is not very fertile?

while the cassava tree grows well, it has very wide and large leaves. These cassava leaves are very suitable for making vegetables, which are very delicious fat vegetables because my mother likes fat vegetables from cassava.

Some of my cassava plants are growing vigorously, even though there aren't many leaves left; I’ve picked them several times to use as a vegetable dish or to eat raw as lalapan—my mother often picks them too, hehehe.

In addition to cassava and chili plants in several locations behind my house, I have also planted mango tree seedlings in several polybags behind my house because it would be a shame to waste the tree behind the house, which is quite large. I want to plant mangoes, but first I planted the seedlings in slightly larger polybags.

And maybe in the future I will tell you how the mango tree I planted today is growing.

Thank you 🙂🤗

Native chili is such a big help, even when planted in just a small pot! It is so convenient no need to go to the market just pick a few from the pot and you’re readySimple gardening, but very useful and rewarding!
