Ecency Rising Artist Challenge — Week 2

Discover New Music. Share Your Ecency Link. Earn HSBI + Token Tips.

YouTube’s Artists on the Rise page drops fresh talent every week — new voices, new genres, new energy. And Ecency is the perfect place to turn that discovery into something bigger.

We’re not just listening to music.
We’re building a community.
We’re inviting new people into the decentralized world we actually believe in.

This week, I picked three trending artists with completely different vibes.

A hyperpop provocateur shaking up festival stages, a Chicago drill prodigy turning raw storytelling into chart momentum, and a Canadian alt‑country singer whose confessional songwriting is breaking into international charts. Together, they represent the wild range of artists bubbling up across YouTube’s Artists on the Rise: dance‑pop chaos, gritty street romance, and emotionally charged folk‑rock.

The Rising Artists only updated with two new tracks so I had to go back to find an older track, but I think you all will enjoy it even if it's a few more weeks older.

Your Task (Ecency‑Focused)

  1. Listen to each artist’s track

  2. Pick one (or all) that you vibe with

  3. Go to the YouTube video

  4. Leave a comment

  5. Include the backlink to this Ecency post

Artist Spotlights

BabyChiefDoIt - Ghetto Love Story

BabyChiefDoIt (Jayden Whitter Jones) is a Chicago drill rapper whose rise has been fueled by viral TikTok hits, Billboard chart entries, and a 2025 XXL Freshman selection. His 2026 track “Ghetto Love Story” showcases his gritty storytelling and emotional edge, reflecting the South Side environment that shaped his sound. He’s known for high‑energy delivery, raw lyricism, and a rapidly growing fanbase across digital platforms.

Cameron Whitcomb - Kingdom of Fear

Cameron Whitcomb is a Canadian singer‑songwriter blending alternative country, folk rock, and folk pop with confessional, emotionally intense lyrics. After breaking out on American Idol, he signed with Atlantic Records and built a massive streaming presence. “Kingdom of Fear” became his first Billboard Hot 100 entry, praised for its gritty vocals and high‑energy folk‑rock sound. His music often explores addiction, mental health, and personal struggle — giving his work a raw, lived‑in authenticity.

Slayyyter - DANCE

Slayyyter is an American singer‑songwriter known for her brash, sex‑positive electropop and hyperpop sound. She broke out from SoundCloud into full‑scale pop stardom, touring with Charli XCX, Kesha, and Tove Lo, and delivering viral festival moments like her 2026 Coachella debut. Her music blends Y2K pop nostalgia with sharp, club‑ready production — and “DANCE” fits right into her high‑energy, neon‑soaked aesthetic.

Why This Challenge Matters (Ecency Edition)

Every backlink you drop on YouTube becomes:

  • A public invite to Ecency

  • A gateway for new creators

  • A signal boost for decentralized communities

  • A way to grow Hive without shilling Hive directly

You’re not asking people to “join Hive.”

You’re inviting them to my Ecency post, where the platform does the onboarding automatically.

This is how we grow — organically, creatively, and together.

I've been doing music research for these past months. Although I am more interested in nitch genres like Japanese R&B and Soundscape/ambient music and sub-genre of them. Also been doing a lot of AI generated music, I've found interesting mixes from people that might not be able to sing together or would have been a great collaboration.
