HiveSuite — Re-Snap Composer Fix
A key focus of this update was fixing the Re-Snap composer behavior from the Snaps Detail page and making the composer available consistently throughout the application.
Global Composer Mount
- Moved the headless
ComposeFabcomponent intoGlobalDrawers. - This makes the composer available at the application level instead of tying it to a specific dashboard layout.
- The global mounting approach allows composer actions to work consistently across different HiveSuite routes.
Removed Duplicate Mount
- Removed the redundant
ComposeFabinstance fromDashboardLayout. - Eliminated duplicate mounting of the composer component.
- Simplified the overall composer architecture while maintaining the same functionality.
Immediate Re-Snap Experience
- Re-Snap now opens the Post Composer immediately from the Snaps Detail page.
- Users no longer need to navigate away from the detail view before the composer becomes available.
- This creates a much faster and more direct Re-Snap workflow.
Navigation Fix
Previously, the Re-Snap composer could appear with a delay and only become visible after returning to the Snaps feed.
This behavior has now been fixed:
- Removed the delayed composer popup behavior.
- Composer opens directly from the current Snaps Detail context.
- Prevented unnecessary navigation back to the feed.
- Improved the overall interaction flow.
Consistent Composer Availability
The composer is now available consistently across application routes, including:
- Snaps Feed
- Snaps Detail
- Full-screen post detail pages
- Other supported HiveSuite routes
This provides a more predictable experience regardless of where the user starts the Re-Snap action.

HiveSuite — Web2 Authentication & Publishing
Another major part of this update was expanding HiveSuite's Web2 functionality beyond authentication and into actual content publishing.
The new workflow allows authenticated Web2 users to interact with selected HiveSuite content features through JWT-based backend authentication.
Web2 Login Integration
- Added the Web2 authentication flow with JWT-based login.
- Added user authentication status handling.
- Integrated authenticated Web2 sessions into the HiveSuite application state.
- Established the foundation for Web2 users to access supported content features.
Web2 API Service
Created a dedicated:
web2Service.ts
The service provides API functionality for:
- Web2 login
- Post publishing
- Snap publishing
- Comment publishing
- Profile updates
This keeps Web2-specific API communication organized and separate from the existing Hive-native interaction flows.
Authentication Store Updates
Updated the authentication state to support Web2 users with:
isWeb2loginType: 'web2'
This allows HiveSuite to distinguish Web2 sessions from existing Hive-native authentication methods and apply the appropriate UI and feature permissions.
Web2 Authentication & Session Flow
Web2 User Profile Experience
The Web2 authentication integration also required adjustments to profile functionality so that the interface accurately reflects the capabilities available to Web2 users.
Profile Tab Filtering
Web2 users are currently restricted to the supported profile content tabs:
- Posts
- Snaps
This prevents unsupported Hive-native profile sections from appearing when a user is authenticated through the Web2 flow.
Profile Drawer Update
The profile drawer has been simplified for Web2 users.
Changes include:
- Removed unsupported menu options.
- Simplified the available profile actions.
- Removed on-chain Manabar statistics that are not applicable to Web2-only sessions.
This keeps the Web2 interface focused on the features that users can actually use.
Web2 Profile Experience
Web2 Publishing
With the authentication foundation in place, HiveSuite now supports Web2 publishing workflows through dedicated backend endpoints.
Web2 Post Publishing
- Integrated the Web2 post publishing endpoint.
- Uses JWT authentication to identify the authenticated Web2 user.
- Allows supported Web2 users to create posts through HiveSuite.
Web2 Snap Publishing
- Integrated Web2 Snap publishing.
- Uses the same authenticated JWT session.
- Provides Web2 users with access to the Snaps publishing workflow.
Web2 Comment Publishing
- Added Web2 comment publishing support.
- Comments are submitted through the authenticated Web2 API.
- Extends the Web2 experience beyond simply reading content.
This establishes a more complete content interaction workflow for Web2 users inside HiveSuite.
