Honestly this has to be one of the best things being introduced on the hive platform. This is literally the first time I have played games on my phone in years, and it was really a fun experience. Now I’ve got something to pass time with when I’m at work and have nothing to do.
When browsing through the list of games I decided to start off with the Snake game. Given how frequently I played the game back when we still had the Nokia torchlight phone. It was actually my second favourite among the games in that phone those days. My all time favourite has been bounce, but since I didn’t see I decided to try out the snake game.
I came across the snake and ladders and mistook it for the snake game I had in mind. I clicked on it and what I was seeing was not the snake game I know. I attempted playing it but had no idea what I was doing. So I existed the game and kept on scanning for other games.
Then I came across the snake game I was looking for. I tried it out and my hands were a bit shaky, probably because it was my first time playing the game on touchscreen and not buttons. On my first attempt I didn’t think I added up to three extra length. But on the second attempt I managed to get the hang of it and made it up to 36 length before failing.
Then I decided to go on hunting for other games. I played a couple of others and there were quite cool and fun. And then, I found the legendary Tetris. Just at the sight of it, even without playing it yet, I knew I didn’t need to find any game else. I have always loved this game as a kid, so I decided to take it for a spin. I really loved the interface of the game.
One of the things I found really cool is how they give the player something like a simulation of whatever block that is descending and how it will sit on other blocks depending on the position it is in the sky before it finally lands. That was very thoughtful of them. It provided me a better experience. Although it confused me initially, but not too long after I got the idea behind it.
My favourite block has and always been the straight vertical block. That block helps me break down the structure almost every time.
The Tetris game caught both my eyes and my attention. The more I played it the more I didn’t want to stop. I honestly think this is one of the games that can never go old. It’s more than just a game that serves as a form of entertainment. It also provokes you into deep reasoning and being fast at making decisions.
It was really a great choice including the Tetris game together with the 51 others because after playing it I still went on to play others without were also fascinating and fun, but Tetris just seemed to stand out for me. It was indeed fun playing that game once again after so many years.
