Greetings!
The problem that we have in our society is that, there are rules that are meant for the ordinary people in the society and also, there are special rules meant for the rich in the society. So, the principle of egalitarianism is not in use in our society and just because of this, we have the poor in the society being cheated, while the rich are being adored and honoured in the society.
Having said so much about the happening in our society and how people are being treated, most especially the poor being treated as if they do not exist, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt which is all about, “Littering is the same.”
If truly we should look at things very carefully, we would see that there's nothing different between the poor man littering the society and the rich people also littering most especially the company littering the society and this is because, littering is littering, both has their ways of affecting the society and the people living in them.
I would even say that, the effect of the company's waste on the public is even more severe than that of the waste of the ordinary people in the society and this is because, the waste of the ordinary people is not as hazardous as that of the company's waste.
However, it's now the ordinary poor people in the society that get punished for littering the public most, and those whose waste are of danger to the society get pardoned just because they could offer the government more fund than what the ordinary poor people in the society can offer and it's not as if the poor are not even offering what they can offer to the government, but since it would not be up to what the company can offer, they get punished for littering their society with waste via undue fines or other means.
To me, such act on the part of the government is not good enough and this is because when it comes to the law of the land, no one should be placed above the law or others in the society, doing so would only amount to lack of respect for the law of the land and all other individuals living in our society.
To me, instead of shielding the companys or the rich in the society from their punishment, they, I mean the government should prioritise the provision of the law and make sure they punish every offenders equally without being sentimental about it. Mind you, littering is the same, and there is no difference between that of the ordinary people in the society and the rich and their companies.
In conclusion, anything that affects our society negatively is bad and we must guide against it with all our might and if we fail to do so, then we may not live to tell the story and this is why no one, no matter their status should be spared from being punished when it comes to littering of our environment.
