Hope Review
It started like any other movie I usually watch. I check the trailer to have an idea of what I am getting into and to see if there is something I might have some interest watching.
And I am not going to lie, after watching this trailer I was very excited to watch the full movie. And I had in my idea on how it would possibly go.
Now there were a few good things about and some other stuff I was not so impressed by.
To get out of the way some stuff I thought it wasn't so positive. The movie is way to long. Maybe if there was more story, more details, it would be fine. But there are a lot of very long kind of pursuit scenes, that drag forever and do not really add much to the movie other than the scene. Something else, is the Special Effects, for me they were very hit and miss, sometimes it looked great but then other scenes it would look almost like a movie from the early 2000's, not bad, just very artificial, basic and out of place. These were my main negative points.
Now when it comes to the positives I have really enjoyed the sets and the locations where the movie was filmed, the set design was really great and made the movie look beautiful.
The acting and script was also good, it was chaotic and with some jokes around, but the type of jokes that make the characters look really dumb and silly but not making this movie feels like a comedy. I liked that.
Obviously the movie ended with a lot of things to be explained and also in a way suggesting for a second movie. Which although I have not loved this first one. Still got me curious to actually know more and what will be the next steps but not only that, more about the reasons for them to be there and their background.
