What is the Hive Thrive Community Hour?`
A HIVE discord show that will have a town hall feel to it. We see a real gap between devs, projects, witnesses, community leaders, and everyday Hive users. There are so many people looking to feel more connected, engaged, and informed—and we want to bridge that gap. This show is about:
✅ Learning about the Hive Blockchain ✅ Sharing what what’s available to use or being worked on ✅ Exploring where Hive is headed (or could be) ✅ Identifying roadblocks—and, more importantly, finding solutions ✅ Fostering constructive and proactive discussions ✅ Providing another space for the community to engage

Meet our guests @snapie and @meno
Snapie showed up in July 2025 as a small mobile app for short-form Snaps. It is now on iOS, Google Play, and the web, and became a Hive witness in December 2025 — announced in the middle of a brutal market with the line that securing the chain is part of the responsibility, “even when the price of Hive is less than ideal.”
We’ll talk about:
• The red screens as a filter — should devs have to prove loyalty by working broke?
• What happens to Snapie, OpenPods and 3Speak’s backend if @meno decides to open up a chimichanga cafe and retire from Hive?
• Hive already has five frontends. Why build a sixth? Asking for a chain.
• Whether “ship it and blame @tibfox” is a recognized software engineering methodology
• Building for newcomers vs. building for the dinosaurs who actually pay the bills
