Hello hivers, an happy Thursday and an happy first day of October to you all! It's a cloudy but warm day here in my city and this morning I had to go to the center of my city to send a parcel in the postal office, so I spent a little time walking along the alleys before to come back to my home. Walking around the place where I had to go, I thought to take some pics of a beautiful small square there. The real name of this square is "Piazzetta Sant'Atto", but since some years we call it "Giardino di Cino".
Along the time I shared with you some of the corners here, but I've never written an entire content about this urban regeneration project for this square started in the 2018. The “Giardino di Cino” is project of a local Association and the municipality to give life to the Piazzetta Sant’Atto and the alley called Vicolo dei Bacchettoni (that were not almost unknow by the tourists) through contemporary art activities.
The first step of this art project was the murales titled NO HESITATION, painted 8 years ago by the street artist Francesco Camillo Giorgino, a.k.a. Millo.
One year after, an architecture studio worked on the paving painted the white lines to remind to the Pistoia-Romanesque style.

Just around one year ago, in December, another wall of the Piazzetta Sant’Atto was painted by the local artist (and a friend of mine 😊 ) Jonathan Calugi who worked here around the themes of writing and digital literacy. I know Jonathan and her wife since some years, he has a wonderful studio not so far from us and I love so much his work, so graphic and clear! He painted murales in different places around my city, included schools and other.
Well, now I have to come back to my brushes and colors.
