An happy Friday to all hivers here! A new weekend is just around the corner, the sky over my city is full of grey clouds, it's cold outside and I think it will be the same in the next 2 days, but tonight I sold one of my recent small artworks, so this good news made my day. 😁
You know that flowers are not one of my usual subjects to paint, but months ago one of my friend asked to me to paint some bookmarks to use as a small gift to his friends. I had to paint a pansy on each of them and, when I finished those ones, I decided to paint one of my usual characters with pansies on her hair.
Here in Italy we use to call this flower "Viola del pensiero" that means "pansy of thought" so I thought it could be perfect for a painting of my series "Thinking about...". 😁 Maybe you remember this one because I shared it with you when I finished to paint it.
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and very soon it will fly to Hawaii! It's the first time one of my artwork will be there, so I can add another flag to the map of the places around the world where my pieces found a new home. ❤️ As you can understand, it's really an happy time for my art and for the family balance, so I want to share some good vibes with you!
See ya soon and stay safe, Silvia
