Hello hivers, an happy Wednesday to you all! As I promised days ago, I'm here to share with you some other pics I took during the past weekend in the main square of my city (Pistoia) during the medieval festival called "Tempus Pacis". You can read my previous post about it here.
At first, you have to know this square (Piazza del Duomo) is the historical heart of my city, the place where there are the most important buildings like the Cathedral of San Zeno (dating back to 1000 A.D.) with a wonderful tower bell, the ancient Palazzo di Giano (13th century) that now is the seat of the municipality, the Baptistery of San Giovanni in corte and others. Thinking about all these ancient buildings, this square is the perfect place for a medieval festival. 😁
I took these pics soon in the afternoon, before a lot of people came here.
While I was there I watched an open tent and watching inside of it I noticed the old style decorations with the swords (don't worry, they were false swords, not dangerous) and the beautiful fabric on the wall:
In the following pics you can see some swords out of the cover. Thanks some people in costume there, everyone could try a swords fight to represent the ancient time.
As you can understand, there were a lot of people in costumes all around, included women who danced in the ancient way.
One of my favorite figures was the stilt walker with a large yellow coat who walked around in the square making children and adult happy! 😁
Well, now I have to come back to my brushes and colors.
