Fishing Boat at Night

It was June 5, 2006. 20 years ago! at 22:27pm in Seward Alaska. I went to visit a dear friend. This is her boat and land-- or part of the ocean-- that she fishes- a lot of salmon.

Isn't this light amazing? It was my first time in Alaska. I was astounded by the amount and quality of light at night.

It is so soft, it almost looks like a painting.

Here is another great shot from that trip to Alaska. I was on a boat and I was so excited to capture the whale breeching.

For this post I made this collection of ocean pictures through the years. There are stories for all the pictures. Thanks Ocean Lover community it was fun to remember the many encounters I have had with the ocean.

I imagine it'd be so hard to choose - you must have lots of amazing photos! We saw whales out to sea yesterday so I'm pretty fond of the old whale photo - it must have been amazing to see. The first photo is beautiful too - those soft colours and the silky smooth water. Thanks so muich for sharing!

Hey Sara, I am glad you also brought your ocean photos _{(I think my username is misspelled, I didn't receive the notification of the mention)} 😉 I checked now where Seward in Alaska is... oh, half past 22h and so much light! That is amazing indeed.
