It has been a busy week of walks with my daughter this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
We found the summer carnival they set up every year at the end of summer. Most of the rides are too big for my daughter and I didn't want to pay a ticket just to do the tiny train that goes around in circles.
Plus my daughter is a bit apprehensive about the size of some of these rides lol. Off in the distance is the vomit inducing zipper ride, I've been in there a couple of times and nearly warfed.
The carnival only lasted a few days and now this vintage wagoneer sits in its place. Whoever owns this babied it or had it restored meticulously. I'm sure most of these things have been melted down or are rusting in a junkyard somewhere.
My neighbor is decorating her halloween decorations again. This time the crows are rival baseball teams. Cubs vs. Sox.
Of course my daughter has to get picked up to pet these things every time we pass them lol. At least they dress them up differently every time we go by.
Meanwhile in downtown the tornados are gone and its been super nice weather. No fog or blasting rain or pelting cold wind just perfect weather.
Back in the burbs on another walk my daughter and I found glowing jackolantern mushrooms. One of these day's I'll harvest one and do a long exposure to catch their green glow.
These ones were a bit too infested with gnat to try the exposure experiment. Many people get poisoned by these per year thinking they are edible chicken of the woods just because they have the same color. The shape is totally different though. Poisoning requires your stomach getting pumped but its not deadly.
As for the business we bought a new house. Now I am going through and looking at all the things that need to be fixed. The attic is the main thing where there is some messy insulation so I'll have to make sure it is fully sealed up to reduce the energy bills.
The only major thing was a bathroom fan vent that got disconnected... The only problem is that is will be an epic balancing trip on the rafters to get to it. Now I am researching various methods of using boards or pads to bridge the rafters to be able to get to it to fix it lol. The prior owner almost went through the ceiling but just ended up cracking the ceiling paint a bit so I don't want to make the same mistake.
