Juliette Is Running Out of Easy Choices

Silo Season 3 is just getting better, there something nice about been behind on a seris and watch a ton of episodes one after another, episode 7 bring some interesting things but the most important is the way how Juliette is feeling, she knows that every decision she takes will affect directly the people she cares and also most of the people in the Silo. Also this episode shows that Sims doesn't care with who is allied, because the only reason to continue fighting and surviving is for his son, it doesn't matter if he is against his own wife and he demonstrate that when he called Juliette to tell her that Camille is moving, about the poison, the Vitamin D+ is in the water and that only drink juice or milk also confirm with her that he will not longer be in touch with her because he probably is being watched by Camille people. With that information Juliette decided to move the exit of Patrick and Lukas, first Lukas wasn't agreed in going out but and at the end he decided to go out because he need to confirm with his own eyes what was real, everything he have seen in books and that hard drive. In this moment is when I though that Juliette has the power, because the people trust her but she doesn't confess everything just to not confront the reality, that she decided that two people should go to the Silo 17 but that is just to complete the first task, even makes me question if this was a distraction because things happen in certain order and ways that Im not sure if latter on they going to say that it was all part of the plan, well having Lukas shot I bet was not part of the plan. She is willing to make sacrifices but for the good of the Silo and the people that live there or that is what she think and seems. What is weird for me is that nobody is paying attention to what Juliette is doing, yes, she is afraid that maybe the voice cancel the expedition to the Silo 17 because probably is aware of the real reason for that mission, its a two in one though.

Lukas and Patrick Go Outside to Silo 17

The mission out of the Silo was important, for that reason Juliette hurried everything after talking with Sims. Lukas and Patrick were ready after a lot of talking and Patrick almost bailing out once they get to the outside asking to go wherever he wants except to another Silo or back to this Silo, he is aware that he rather die somewhere else, for Juliette this mission shows another side of her, the one that will sacrifice one person for the good of everyone else or that is what she though, in my opinion how it should be if she ever remember he dad actually die following this ideology. Lukas and Patrick finally are out but they are living complete different experiences. I really like how the scene reflects two different feelings, we have Patrick that finally realize that the true is that theres dead people outside but Lukas is so into the starts, watching them for the first time, finally confirming that what he has imaging is true and even bigger and more beautiful. That was a great scene because it gives us for a small moment the space to enjoy what is outside above their heads and is beautiful but that doesn't last too much because the feeling of safety ended with the buzzing and the gunfire, the radio that they were using to communicate with Juliette turn off, now they just think that they are dead due to the report that they were neutralized, information that was confirmed by the Algorithm but this episode couldn't leave us with the question, at the end Patrick talk to the radio confirmed that they are alive and that the children are safe. In some way I like that Patrick and Lukas still alive but it let me thinking that Algorithm maybe is not controlling everything or probably is hidding information for itself, this is the moment I thought, there is no Algorithm.

Vitamin D+ Forces Juliette to Choose Who She Can Save

The Silo is in a critic situation, probably some are more aware than others and Juliette feels that they are running out of time and because they know about the memory poison that is moving, she remember what happens before when the drug was used, it caused chaos, people forgot basic things, stopped eating and died because of a plan that instead of saving people was killing them and that's the main reason why Juliette can't let this happen again. There's always a choice to make but never an easy one, an extra point to this episode is that Gloria was brought back and in a good moment because she is the one that has a diary that will useful for the information that tells what happen during those time when they used the memory poison. Also will help Juliette by guiding her in a decision, Juliette at the end accepted that she can't save them all that no matter the decisions they take, theres always will be scarifies. I really enjoy how the episode never stop forcing them to choose a side, in a way that always somehow make them believe their side is the correct one even though its not but luckily its like they keep hitting bumps that put them back into track. Juliette is clearly desperate to do things right but force to choose how many dies. Camille is stock in her following with the Algorithm, that is clearly just using her and Sims had enough of it, at least when Bernard was head of IT he showed other he knew what he was doing and even though he was but never showed how dependant he was from the Algorithm who by now is clearly someone who does not have full control of things, like when he said Lukas and Patrick were neutralized but clearly they were not dead, I put this on the script because with all the tech they have how come they couldnt confirm this.

Camille and Sims Are Fighting Over Their Son

The once that were long ago a lonly couple trying to go up in the ranks doesnt exist anymore as Camille and Sims are in a constant battle hidding information from each other, Camille is only thinking that her act of putting the Vitamin D+ and make every one forget is the correct path that the Silo should follow and it is a chip that no one can't remove from her but Sims has changed completely by now, neither of them recognize each other, he really doesn't care get his hands dirty because his motivation is his son, he can't accept and doesn't want him to forget, he loves his boy and can't imagine a live where they can't even remember that they are family, and that comming from Sims is something that I respect because this is not the typical situation where the one fighting for a son is a mother, no, it shows that also a father can care even the same or more and will try to find a way for his son be safe, for that I admire Sims but it doesn't mean that he has change lets say for good, he has only addapted and is surviving basedon his own interest because you never hear him talking about how others will do, like Juliette does, he is just trying to figure out how he can achive what he wants using others. Is impressive how Camille is so immerse in the Algorithm rules that she doesn't care about her own son memories what an awful moment for someone who is a mother, as a father honestly I couldnt do it but for her is either staying alive without memories or dying. Their relationship is completely broken and will be interesting to finally know who was right and who will regret, by now even though if I havent read the books, I know that she will either play the double agent or go full in Juliette's team.

The Before Times Get Closer to Why the Silos Exist

The before time is getting better, slowly but better, this time shows that Daniel and Helen where taken to Georgia, meet the people running the project and Daniel finally sees a massive drill tearing into the ground, a big hint that this whole operation is tied to how the Silos actually get built, this is a valuable information because the show is giving further steps to where will be explained what happen in the world and how society ends living underground to be safe, the big question is about to get an answer, the never ending Why!, why we living underground, why the Silo were created, why we cant go out, why!!!. The true is that this episode give us a lot of information to process but the important is what was mention duing the before time scenes even though its not much. Camille is no longer herself she is just a follower of Algorithm and will do everything it says to her because she truly believe is the right path, for me she is turning into the villain in this story, Sims her husband is totally against her and more when he stopped to kill someone, Juliette is with the moral decision of killing people to safe others and the Silo shows that the lowest level, which is the mines exist to let people die, when people make a mistake don't matter if it is big or small that person judge and if result guilty in send to the mines when no one cares about those people, it is a cruel reality but for me is the best, because they live in a place where people is fighting to survive, probably doing cruel things and taking advantages of others and that's is how the apocalypses should be, dont take this last part too serious, Im just trying to relate to the story, after all this is all entertainment, we all know that right?!. Things obviously are going to get messier but for Juliette things apparently returned to her original plan, when Patrick informed that they still alive, and that becomes the biggest question of the episode that I come back to, how the Algorithm doesn't know that they were not neutralized at all, how can't decipher what Juliette and her people where talking to the radio and also let me thinking that who the Algorithm is really watching. The next episode I expect to find more information to solve my doubts but right now I'm happy with how the story is progressing.
