With how big these plants have grown, they are also quite thirsty. Every few days when it does not rain I go out and give each plant a few gallons of water. I have a large water tote I fill up and it nearly lasts a whole season with a few hundred gallons of water inside. I fill it up in the spring and empty it when freezing weather comes around. Its been doing great.

Solo watering his cannabis plants.
Over by where I grow my outdoor cannabis plants I do not have any wells, so I must bring over the water in totes, barrels or jugs. And using water lines going to the totes to move water to the jugs.

Using up all my long hoses right now. So I am stuck using my shorter one. But long term I will run some lines to each plant so I do not need to do this every year.

I try to do this in the morning before it gets too hot outside. Both the plants and I appreciate that.

Have to be careful of the little one. Its growing but no where as big as the other three I started early this year. I started a few before it but they did not make it. So this one seems to be taking off and I hope it flowers in a month.. lol its so tiny though its hard to say what its going to do.

Now I have cut back the plants, I can water them more easily at their base.

I go back and forth three times. As each plant needs both jugs of water at this point, a few gallons.

My foreman was hanging out with me and got some candid pictures of me working on my plants.

You can really see our red clay here in Virginia. Its common throughout The South.

Even though the water tote was an expensive purchase, the convenience it has supplied was well worth the expense. Otherwise I would be constantly having to lug water over to the area, or using my vehicles to move the water all the time.

Kind of crazy how big these plants have gotten, but I did work really hard making their holes bigger between seasons. So it seems it has paid off. Knowing this worked during the next break in the outdoor growing season starting when freezing temps start, I will go out with my machinery and make the holes even bigger. And I also plan on growing them in a single file line, as side by side they are running out of space. And I can no longer get my mower behind them they have gotten so big.. lol
So due to that I am going to redesign how I grow them next year, giving them deep and wide holes to grow in. And I will also run a water line out to them to make it easier to water them.
