The funny thing about watching this movie today is realizing how well it has aged. When it was released a few decades ago, the visual impact was total madness, but the best part is that the story, the tension, and the way they guide you through the park never lose their touch. Watching the characters enter that island for the first time and seeing the dinosaurs move with that mix of practical effects and computer graphics still gives you the exact same thrill as the first time.
Lo curioso de ver esta película hoy en día es darse cuenta de lo bien que ha envejecido. Cuando se estrenó hace ya unas cuantas décadas, el impacto visual fue una locura total, pero lo mejor es que la historia, la tensión y la forma en que te van llevando por el parque no pierden vigencia. Ver a los personajes entrar por primera vez a esa isla y ver a los dinosaurios moverse con esa mezcla de efectos prácticos y digitalización sigue dando la misma emoción que la primera vez.

Also, beyond the scares with the T-Rex or the cleverness of the velociraptors, what I enjoy most about this film is its pacing. Director Spielberg knew perfectly well how to keep you on the edge of your seat without it feeling boring for a single second. Every scene has a purpose, and John Williams' music... well, that theme alone gives you goosebumps the moment it starts playing.
Además, más allá de los sustos con el T-Rex o la inteligencia de los velociraptors, lo que más disfruto de este filme es el ritmo que tiene. El director Spielberg sabía perfectamente cómo mantenerte al borde del asiento sin que se sienta aburrido ni un solo segundo. Cada escena tiene un propósito, y la música de John Williams... bueno, esa sintonía sola ya te pone la piel de gallina apenas empieza a sonar.

It's one of those comforting movies that you can rewatch on a Sunday afternoon with a nice cup of coffee or simply to disconnect for a while from the routine and travel to another era.
Es de esas películas reconfortantes que uno puede repetir un domingo en la tarde con una buena taza de café o simplemente para desconectar un rato de la rutina y viajar a otra época.
