Life update after 15 months off :')

IMG_0546.JPG

It's always a bit harder to start writing when you haven't written for a long long while. Last posts from me on here were of @hivefest - 2022, not even of this year's one in 2023!

When the announcements of the Mexico Edition of @hivefest were announced I already knew I would miss out on something fantastic - the (South/North) American community had been waiting for a while to have a true Fest on 'their side of the globe' and I was happy to know it was going to happen. At the same time I was preparing for a huge exam and had family holidays planned exactly on the date HiveFest started, so I had to miss out!

Sad.

Then the deadline of the test came closer. @gtg sent me a message about a meet-up in Kraków for those that were having FOMO for not begin in Mexico at HiveFest. And then I managed to 100% ignore him! Sorry Gandalf! I would have loved to drink a beer or two in Kraków.

I also missed out on several @coldbeetrootsoup and @detlev meet-ups, and was happy and sad (I wanted to have joined!) to see a meet-up happening between @bil.prag and @fotostef and @traisto - I managed to mostly ignore those posts too even though my name was mentioned here or there.

Damn. Have I Been that busy?

I guess so, at least in my mind. But yeah, no, it was really that busy.

This pas year was a snowball of emotions and work. My study that I had started in 2020 got several accreditations added to them in 2022 which meant in hindsight all students had to make up for 'extra work' as these extra credits hadn't been a part of the study before all those accreditations were applied. So in 1 year I had to do 3 years worth of 'missed work' which meant about 500 hours of extra (!) work next to the normal study load.

It basically meant all of 2023 has been full focus on ploughing through all that extra work.

But - it also means the Diploma I will get is an extra cool and valuable one.

So where am I in my study journey? I have now started the fourth year. When I started in 2020 there were only 3 years, haha. So this is next to the extra work also an extra year. But it will protect me from all kinds of extra regulations that are being put up for people calling themselves a 'therapist', I will be future-proof after this year.

I've also started a short traineeship with a therapist who will be able to provide me with my first clients in a few months after I've learned all the tricks of the profession.

It's an exciting time, but still busy. Still, I wanted to leave a mark on Hive. And say hi. I appreciate you all. Some have been reaching out through other means, which I love.

It means that even though I'm not active on the blockchain I'm still part of the community and your hearts.

Thanks a lot for that <3 Let me know what has been up with you!

Hi @soyrosa. Just wanted to reach out and say hi. Hope all is well.

  • @verhp11(70)· 684d

Ha Rosa, ik ben ook lange tijd weggeweest. Goed te zien dat je er ook weer bent. Bij mij net zo hoor, ook etg druk geweest met werk, andere prioriteiten etc. Maar goed, we zijn er weer :)

    Hi @soyrosa,

I totally missed this post from you after such a long time of silence. It looks like a lot is happening in your RL which sounds very good. And it's nice to read that you are still here even if it's a bit more passively.

If you look at my blog you can see that I even have difficulties in keeping my contest running once a week. Sometimes I miss a week because RL is busy here too. I would love to write more about all the things happening. There would also be a lot to write about @dog-marley. He is 11.5 years old already but still quite active. Not as active as some years ago but still a lot is happening which would be nice to remember in the blockchain.

Well, that's not happening as long as RL keeps busy as it is but with the contest, I'm still building up for the future where we all have more time hopefully :)

I hope everything comes out well for you and thanks for your continuous support!

    Br., Pundito

Namaste 🙏 @soyrosa Same thoughts going through my head... It was going to be amazing if I could come and visit the Mexican event as well, it was looking a quite an expensive trip no matter that I was looking nearly 3 months early to plan if possible...

Yet again it was quite a beautiful experience to meet the Hive family in reality back in Amsterdam 2022....

    Namaste 🙏

Euj nice to have the accreditation going there! Sucky for the long and extra hours but indeed..this will make the future Roos-proof and one heck of a successfull therapist out of you.

Cool to see you are working the grind. Gelukkig nieuwjaar en wellicht dat we ons in 2024 weer een keertje gaan zien ;)

  • Hey there @soyrosa, good to see you posting and get an update. Sounds like you were doing what needed to be done. Wishing you a happy holiday season xxxx

it must be fun when they add a year and extra stuff to all 3 years of study :D

if it is the same like in our country (judging by what my sister tells me) it is kinda a never ending learning and licensing :)

Yes we did mention you and at least we now know you seen the mentions :D

  • @ericvancewalton(81)· 978d

So glad to see you back! I've been posting less frequently lately too but never can seem to stay away for long. 2023 has been an absolute roller coaster ride for us with exhilarating highlights and deep troubles but we're hoping for more of the exhilarating highlights in 2024! Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Last posts from me on here were of @hivefest - 2022, not even of this year's one in 2023!

I remember sitting at the closing dinner in Amsterdam with a girl who said that she would continue (because she had taken a break) with content creation, hanging out with other Hvians... 😜

I have now started the fourth year. When I started in 2020 there were only 3 years, haha. So this is next to the extra work also an extra year.

So, this is your LAST year, and after that, you will run out of excuses to not be on HIVE? 😃

Just kidding... Good luck with your studies... After this many years on HIVE, we will need a good therapist! 😃

  • @sjarvie5(77)· 979d

Yay, I was just thinking about you. I started school and have posted much less. I am happy to hear that your degree is going to be extra cool, with all that work! Happy Holidays and it really was so great to have an update.

  • @gtg(76)· 979d

So I wasn't ignored, you are just slow :-P

  • @santigs(71)· 979d

It is great to see you back. Congrats on the hard work to get your diploma and hope to see you in person at one of the Hive events next year!

  • @aurodivys(79)· 979d

It's been so long? Welcome back, @soyrosa . Greetings.

  • @detlev(82)· 979d

Hey @soyrosa the last #HiveMeetupAachen was great and we MISSED YOU ;-) Just kidding. But you are always welcome

We have the idea to grow that meetup to more people. This said, we plan more in the next few month.

  • Let's meetup 🥳

  • @mrprofessor(73)· 979d

'Bout in time for Xmas 🤣

I thought you'd been abducted by interplanetary pirates or something. Turns out you are sound and fine, thank God.

  • @livinguktaiwan(81)· 979d

Welcome back! Sounds like a really hectic year, cramming 500 extra hours of study in, on top of your normal load. That's so crazy!!

    Have a great Christmas!

  • @enforcer48(75)· 979d

Hey you, you are still alive!

  • @zirochka(79)· 979d

Nice to hear from you, @soyrosa! I've been checking your profile a few times to see what I miss but you didn't post. Glad to know you are fine and keep on moving to your goal.

  • @fotostef(77)· 979d

    Hi!

We are missing you! You'll always be part of the community and definitely in our hearts! So much have happened, too much to fit in a comment. Hopefully we'll have the chance to meet and talk about it in person!
