Hokum
In an isolated hotel in the Irish countryside, writer Ohm Bauman returns to scatter his parents' ashes and leave behind a past that continues to haunt him. Distant and deeply wounded, he arrives at a place that seems trapped outside of time, filled with eccentric guests, underlying tensions, and whispers of a cursed suite that has remained locked for years. When a young woman mysteriously disappears, Ohm finds himself caught up in a dark investigation that leads him deeper and deeper into the unknown. Is it worth watching?

Adam Scott delivers a decent performance.
Some of the jump scares are effective.
It builds a great atmosphere through its direction and managed to genuinely scare me at times.
Ambitious in its screenplay…
Beautiful cinematography.
A claustrophobic feel.
Folklore elements everywhere.
An enjoyable watch.
The witch is terrifying (that horn 😅).
It explores guilt and how reality can distort it.

The film's three subplots aren't strong enough to keep the viewer invested, in my opinion.
Ambitious in its screenplay, but ultimately fails to elevate the final result. At times, it feels a little overextended.
I found the ending rather simplistic. It didn't exactly disappoint me, but it wasn't what I wanted. The explanations you'd expect after all that buildup never really come (no spoilers).
Very little gore.
The characters aren't utilized effectively enough.
Some scenes feel unnecessary.
Uneven pacing.
The Beast
James left the ring behind a long time ago and now spends his days fishing, putting up with his idiot boss and dealing with everyday family struggles. But when the current MMA champion sends his brother to the hospital, James returns to his bloodied gloves. Is it worth watching?

Extremely realistic and intense fight scenes.
Russell Crowe, although he pretty much plays the same character every time these days 🤷♂️.
From a dramatic standpoint, it tries to offer a little more depth.
The direction is just okay, with an old-school approach.
Although there aren't many fights, the final one makes up for it.
Surprisingly, and contrary to my expectations, it turns out to be a solid overall film.

Every cliché you can imagine in this type of movie is here 😅.
Quite predictable in terms of how the story unfolds.
It offers no narrative surprises.
Daniel MacPherson spends almost the entire film wearing exactly the same expression 🤷♂️.
There aren't many fights.
More melodramatic than I would have liked.
