In the Grey
A corrupt businessman thinks that a billion dollars can simply be... “borrowed and never returned”! A secret team of agents with serious hacking expertise, along with a specialized unit that knows its way around weapons systems, takes on the task of making his life difficult, so that he can be convinced to give the money back. A new adventure from Guy Ritchie. Is it worth watching?

The leading trio (Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, and Eiza González) are visually a delight.
Eiza González sells her role incredibly well.
The playful relationship between Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, playing Sid and Bronco respectively, works really well, with excellent chemistry.
Fast-paced.
It reminds you of Guy Ritchie's old-school best, especially from a directorial standpoint.
An enjoyable watch.
A well-crafted screenplay (although it has its flaws) with fast-paced dialogue.
Deception is the true star of the movie.
The runtime is ideal and never allows the film to drag.
Plenty of action.

I don't think Rosamund Pike was utilized at all 🤷♂️.
Predictable finale.
Some convenient plot devices.
The viewer is hit with a huge amount of information right from the start, which can be a little confusing 🙃.
It feels slightly soulless.
It overexplains certain things.
I never really felt the danger of the mission 🤷♂️.
The Wizard of the Kremlin
A young Russian filmmaker becomes the unexpected adviser to Vladimir Putin as he rises to power in post-Soviet Russia, trying to navigate the chaos of the new era. Is it worth watching?

I really liked the final scene of the movie.
Jude Law is good in the role, with an impressive transformation into Putin.
A big, ambitious production.
Paul Dano gives a respectable performance in the lead role.
Rapid succession of events.
The geopolitical power games are mildly interesting.
Alicia Vikander brings her own star power to the film.

I was boooored.
Very wordy screenplay.
Repetitive plot without a clear focus.
The allegorical references didn't work for me.
Without Putin on screen, the movie loses its momentum, and the truth is that Jude Law has limited screen time.
Far too many characters. The viewer can't possibly absorb that many characters, let alone identify with any of them.
The introduction to modern Russian history is somewhat overloaded.
Oh, that runtime.
Preachy tone.
Sparse direction, which doesn't really work in the film's favor here.
