For Hive Open Mic Week 332, I am presenting my original song titled “I Dey Carry the Blessing.” This song is a joyful expression of gratitude and appreciation for the blessings of God in my life.
I chose this song because I wanted to remind myself and everyone listening that we have so many reasons to be grateful, even when life does not always go exactly as planned. Sometimes, we become so focused on the things we are still waiting for that we forget to appreciate the blessings we already have. The inspiration behind “I Dey Carry the Blessing” came from the realization that God’s blessings are not only about money or material possessions. The gift of life, good people around us, talents, opportunities, peace, strength, salvation, and the grace to keep moving forward are all blessings from God. Through this song, I am simply celebrating the goodness of God and declaring with confidence that I carry His blessing wherever I go. My prayer is that this song will put a smile on someone’s face, encourage someone who may be going through a difficult season, and remind us all to count our blessings and remain grateful to God.
