I wanted to share that, even though I’ve been very busy with university and my part-time job, I always find a moment to hop onto Hive, share content, and support my favorite users.
I decided to take part in the "La Aldea Coreana" (Korean Village) initiative by sharing a memorable moment of mine. This moment is incredibly special because I never imagined I’d practice this sport: boxing. My faculty opened up boxing sign-ups, and some university friends convinced me to join. I wasn't very enthusiastic at first—since calisthenics is what really appeals to me and what I’ve practiced for years—but my friends persuaded me, so I decided to give it a shot and signed up for classes.
I’ve already had my first fight, and let me tell you, it went really well; I’m very proud of myself. I think the classes are great; some of the training exercises are closely related to calisthenics, while others really help me strengthen my muscles and stay active.
I never thought boxing would be so complex and exciting. It’s a fantastic discipline and a great tool for self-defense—though I hope never to use force to resolve everyday problems; I just want to focus on the sport itself. The video my friends recorded features a friendly tournament organized at my training club; I had two fights and won both of them. I had no idea I was being filmed, so I was really excited when I saw the footage. It was a fantastic fight where I got to showcase everything I’ve learned in training. It was a great moment. I’m still training enthusiastically and look forward to continuing to learn.
I view boxing simply as a hobby and a great way to unwind; my favorite sport—which I practice daily—is calisthenics, and I’ll be sharing my progress in that soon. I hope you enjoy my story, and thanks for watching the video. Bye for now, guys!
