When fall arrives and you have a nice sunny day, what do you do? Take your dog to the nearby park at the bay and enjoy the gorgeous weather. Before we know it, the cooler, rainy days of fall will be the norm.
This park was built three years ago, and it is so well maintained that our community comes and walks along all the paths between the bay and Lake Ontario.
All we have to do is mention going to the park, and Mika gets so excited that it is hard to get her harness on her with all her enthusiasm.
What was so interesting about this walk, there were tons of snails all over the pavement. I've never seen them on other walks, which was something odd to me.
This is the lakeside of the park. You can see this large dark image in the water; it was a large Blue Heron diving after a fish.
Here is a few of the fall foliage along the lakeside path.
You can see how calm the water was that morning. We were the only people walking that morning, and it was the most peaceful feeling, like it was our own personal world.
Here are some more plants in flower heading back towards the bay. The bumblebees were all over the goldenrod, which was certainly full of pollen.
All of a sudden, we heard a boat coming, and this guy was waterskiing. I know it was a beautiful day, but that water had to be chilly. Although we could see he had on a wetsuit. A die-hard for sure! Getting the most out of that nice day.
Thank you, @tattoodjay, for this fun, weekly #wednesdaywalk posting community.
