Mushrooms like Burger Bun | Fungi Friday

There is a area near my house that people call "the Exchange." A telephone pole stands there. It is likely named "the Exchange" because it converts telephone signals and helps in transmission over long distances. I often visit the 'Exchange' because the gate is always left open, and the person working there, We call him Chacha Boota, knows us quite well. While walking in the exchange, I often look at the big white trunk trees ( Eucalyptus) and observe the various vegetables that Chacha Boota has planted. Some of these vegetables I probably don't even know the names. I just walk around these green vegetables. For some time now, I’ve been visiting this spot a day or two after the rain stops, as mushrooms often grow here. Since I started looking for them, I’ve made it a habit to visit more often.

On my recent walk, I spotted mushrooms that looked just like the Bun of a Burger complete with sesame seeds on top.

There are some pieces of wood and many rotting leaves around these mushrooms and the color of mushrooms is exactly the same as that of wood and leaves. It seemed as though the mushrooms had hidden themselves among the leaves.

But then, that same evening, when I went to water my garden, specifically near the neem tree where mushrooms usually grow.I found two mushrooms were coming out of dead earth there. These mushrooms had not yet bloomed properly and obviously within a day or two they will bloom to their full life and then wilt as they do and die. A cycle that repeats. Everything in the world runs in a cycle from life to death, from galaxies to ocean to whirlpool. That's the beauty of the mysteries of life.
