Monochrome Monday - a few recent edits

Good morning, and I hope your weekend went well, Mine was fairly quiet and peaceful, pretty much the normal for me, but I did get out for a couple of morning walks, making the most of the weather before it cools down to much for me to get out for sunrise walks

Starting the week as is my habit with a few Monochrome edits, from fairly recent walks.

This stunning Italianate-style historic home, built around 1857, stands beautifully on County Street. Its intricate architectural details—from the ornate front porch with decorative scrollwork brackets to the striking central dormer with its curved Renaissance pediment—tell a story of mid-19th-century craftsmanship. It was a nice photo in color, but I felt a Monochrome edit highlighted the details more.

Check out this stunning, massive bronze lantern fixture located right outside the historic U.S. Post Office building in Fall River, MA. It features an incredible classical urn base with massive scroll handles and beautiful geometric glasswork.It’s an amazing reminder that even everyday civic buildings were treated like true works of art. Next time you're walking around a place, don't forget to look up and take in the details!

and back in New Bedford for this next photo.

Nestled along a classic Belgian block street, this old building stands as a rugged testament to the city’s evolving commercial soul. Its facade is a beautiful patchwork of architectural history, featuring a prominent concrete loading dock, a heavy industrial awning, and weathered double wooden doors that look as though they have a thousand stories to tell.

Although no longer operating, they have kept the vintage wooden sign that reads "P. KALLER & SON WHOLESALE BEEF & PROVISIONS.

Now I forget where I saw this one, was on one of my walks on the streets of New Bedford looking for cool historic buildings, but it sure caught my eye, google tells me it is the Jonathan Bourne Mansion but looking at other photos of it I am not so sure

Great mono post 👍 mono works so well with these intricately detailed historic buildings. Its like a visit to a history museum 🙂

It was rainy and cold for most of the weekend. It's like we went right from Summer to the ugly parts of fall. I did get the lawn mowed though and I took the travel trailer to my parents for winter storage.
