Sublime and Beautiful Sunday A few sunrises here and there around New Bedford MA
Now I have mentioned my recent health issues, and perhaps they have all seemed negative; well today and I hope I am not tempting fate saying this, I am actually feeling fairly good, and yesterday I was able to eat some more solid meals so fingers crossed I stay that way for a while ;)
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
Good morning, and I hope your weekend is going well,
Today I will share a few sunrise photos from recent walks around here, it is still my favorite time of day to get out and about walking, it is so peaceful and quiet then, but with the temps slowly dropping i know soon it will be to cool for me to go out at sunrise, and I will have to adjust my morning walk time, to when its a little warmer during the day.
Starting with this photo, as I was walking around Fort Rodman in Fort Taber Park here in New Bedford, even though I often walk around the fort, I am not sure I have taken many photos from this point, but that morning the sunrise was giving some nice colors, and this view caught my eye.

And just out of the park is East Beach, another beautiful spot here, and very popular, especially in summer, not so much in the early morning when I mostly visit there. And of course, when I visit there, I find myself always drawn to getting at least one photo with a lifeguard tower in shot.

And this is on Pope's Island, with some nice sunrise colors on the horizon, and the red boat caught my eye; I guess, strictly speaking, it's called a dinghy.

One thing I love about the city of New Bedford is how it embraces art, and one morning when I walked up into the historic district, I thought i may finally get a photo of this art piece that I liked with the sunrise colors behind it.
It is a 15-foot whaleman sculpture created by artist Lintala. Originally created in 2010 for the New Bedford Whaling Museum's outdoor sculpture collaboration. The design blends imagery from the Whaling Museum's collection, including a harpoon, a hand-carved arctic walrus mask, and a shamanistic representation of a whaleman's past arctic adventures

And to finish off at the port.
