In our previous place, my father and I used to go for a morning walk to the coast, which was just around 15 minutes away on foot. However, in our new place, it would take us around 40 minutes to get to the coastal area on foot, and it's filled with some uphill and downhill parts.
I decided to take a day/night off today, so I asked Papa yesterday if he was willing to finally take the challenge with me. We've been talking about going to the coastal area since we started doing walks or jogs here, but we haven't really done it. He agreed and decided to head out at around 5:30 AM.
It was already bright when we left, but it worked for me because I wanted to take some photos along the way. I like the view of some areas in our place, especially the ones with the mountain view. I also wanted to take a photo of the sunrise.
We took the route behind the house to get to the road instead of using the usual route, which was through the public high school. This route is the shortcut we usually use when we want to go to our landlady's place or to the wholesaler store we usually buy from. There might be some dogs, but they're friendly, unlike the other route. hahaha
This area celebrated its fiesta around a week ago. Our landlady lives in this area, so she invited us to her place then. However, I had to work, so only Papa went there, and she sent us some food.
This area is like the midpoint between our place and the National road below. I saw a glimpse of the sun peeking through the clouds, and I expect to see it at a much better angle with a better view as we continue to walk.
And I was right!!!
It's so pretty! It's even prettier in person! I like how the mountains faded in the distance, and the sun is showing itself above the clouds. It was such an amazing sight to see.
Of course, I also had to take some photos of this area. It's still among my favorite sights in this place. They've started planting some stuff again. I'm not sure what they are, but the one further away are corn.
And in about 40 minutes, we arrived at the main or national road. Our destination was a small plaza by the sea, which we often passed by. We hadn't been there yet, so I was curious about the place. It's just about a 5-minute walk from the corner, going up our barangay.
We saw a glimpse of the sea from the road, and it looked really calm. Then, we finally arrived!!!
This is Tañon Straight, and in front of us is Negros Island. It's where my father's hometown is. It wasn't very clear this time, though, but you can see a ferry in the distance. That's what we usually take when going there. The city we live in now is a small port city.
Of course, Papa became my photoshoot model as always. But to be honest, he really wanted to go for a swim. He kept on saying, "Let's come back here next time and bring a change of clothes". Hahaha Some people were swimming and the sea was indeed inviting.
Of course, he also took a photo of me and our duofie to send to Mama. Maybe next time, it'll be their turn to come here. I think Mama would be able to handle the walk. We were able to walk one way together last time from the national road up to our place, and coming down here isn't that much of a problem.
Papa and I stayed there for about 20 minutes to soak in the view and the sea breeze. We just sat, talked, took photos, and enjoyed the atmosphere.
The plaza isn't that big, but there was an area that was closed when we went there. I think it's open to the public, but not around that time. I often see more people in this area in the afternoon.

> I remember this lion when I actively played Pokémon Go... hahah XDLater on, we decided to go home, and the uphill battles began... well, it's not that difficult because they're mostly long but gentle slopes.
And we finally arrived home at around 7:30 AM... And I took photos of the mango tree beside our house because there are a lot of flowers, so we're expecting it to bear fruit in the coming days.
And that was it for our morning adventure. It was so refreshing, and we plan to do it again someday! It's the best route we've taken so far because we could enjoy both the mountain and the sea. :)
