Guinness and Black Horse a #beersaturday stop in Skipton

Hello Hivians and all you beer lovers.

It's Saturday Sunday at 4.14pm and I am stuck at home! This morning I got a text saying I would be getting my new phone delivered between 1.33pm and 2.33pm and a tracking link to a website. It says the driver has been delayed, well no shit Sherlock!

Not to worry, it means I can drop a #beersaturday post.. Because the last one was fluffing ages ago!! July 19th to be precise, two and a half months ago!

Yep, I have been missing from the Beer community. Speaking of people going missing, I do hope our dear @detlev is fine, last I saw him he was quadbiking in the Sahara. I actually rode a camel in the Sahara when I was working in Algeria many years ago.

I fluffing digress...

Guiness and an Irish pub!

The Black Horse ...

When we were down in Skipton last weekend, I fancied a pub lunch as it was a glorious day. We tried one that was recommended but no tables outside, and unruly screaming kids. In a pub, god that pisses me off! I want a quiet drink or at least an adult chat!

Gemini suggest the Black Horse across the road, good food etc...

I get there only to find it is an Irish pub. lol heaven knows the last time I was in one of those!

It was Yorkshire and fine, no Drumcree talk was heard!

Of course I opted for a Guinness

I am not going to extol the virtues of a Guinness, because you should all know by now!

We did order food, and of course that was not too speedy, so I got another Guinness.

Which prompted the food not long afterwords... Shite photo but a delicious gammon steak. I have not had for years and it was well worth the wait.

Mrs T had been eyeing up the Lamb stew and fluff me it did not disappoint!

There we have it, a good beer and good food. Worth a visit if you are ever in the middle of Skipton!
