Instagram was the last mainstream social site I belonged to. I quit Twitter, before they became X. I still use Reddit from time to time. Not on a regular basis though. Instagram was the last mainstream social site I belonged to. The other day I logged in to upload an image, and discovered they graciously created a META account for me. I was wondering how long it would take for that to happen.
I don't want a Facebook account. I don't want a META account. I was fine with Instagram until they basically forced me to take the META account. Now the account is deleted. It's like they're trying to backdoor the last few people that haven't signed up for META yet. And don't even get me started about their creepy pedo stalker glasses. They're not going to be happy until they can surveille your every step, and turn every one of us into a walking talking CCTV/FLOCK camera.
Killing Twitter was tough because I built that account to just under 50K followers. I think I had just under 2K on Instagram. I really didn't spend a lot of time on there. At first I used it for tarot until I discovered how hokey the Instagram Tarot community is. Not all of you, but there were enough charlatans and frauds to make me not even want swim in the shallow end of that community.
I turned the account into a motorcycle travel page. It was growing too. Oh well.
Luckily, I discovered SNAPS the other day. I've been wanting to post more to Hive anyway. Now I have a reason. I think I'm going to use SNAPS as my Instagram and Twitter replacement. Peakd for blogging. I just have to figure out how to best set it up on my phone. PEAKD really needs a phone app! I'd post so much more with a decent phone app!
