It's My Birthday!

Sanggre.JPEG

... And it's been a long time since I've written without the aid of AI.

How are things on this side of the web? I've always toyed with the idea of quitting Hive once and for all, and please don't take it personally. My intuition says that if I closed one door, a new one opens. But what if this isn't the door that I should be closing?

Justification #1: Every time I recall a memorable moment in my life, I always turn back to Hive. When I wanted to look back on the times when we were hit by Typhoon Odette, I re-read what everyone wrote here about the experience. And suddenly, flashbacks of the community's support still bring a flush of warmth to my heart. You could have chosen to ignore our situation, but you chose to help. We were and still are forever grateful.

Justification #2: This birthday is probably my saddest one to date. I intentionally hid my birthday on Meta since I wanted to know who truly cared enough to remember from those who didn't. My husband taught me this friendship test - whoever remembers your birthday and goes out of their way to make you feel special are your people. I've spent most of my life justifying the feelings of people who might not have given importance to mine, I'm allowed to be selfish and validate my own feelings on my birthday, right? Right. And I'm alright. It pains me to think that the people I so wanted to remember, didn't. But there's comfort in knowing that the people who really matter, never did. I choose to deepen my connection with them.

Justification #3: I've a lot of my drafts in my account, and I plan to finish and publish all of them. I've rekindled my love for creating content ever since I finished my MBA thesis. I found enjoyment in it and I plan to cultivate it through different media. My heart always loves to share. It is probably on Hive that my feelings are their rawest, ever.

Justification #4: The vibe in this side of the web is just different. It's rewarding but fair. It's not for those who are after instant gratification. It's for those who value growth, no matter how slow. It's for the meaningful contributors.

Justification #5: In case I wanna look back on how life was like at 30... I have a place to go.
Let's see... How did 30 look like?

It debuted with water (probs because I'm a water sign? 🤣)... after a gig, it was pouring water it flooded. Big-time. We had to stay by the side of the road and slept there since the traffic got so bad. My husband gave me a mini-desk fan. It was the best gift that came in my favorite color and at the right time!

What will 31 bring? A lot of money - that's what!
