The first season was supposedly so poor that it's hard to watch. I haven't seen it myself because Anakin and his master haven't seen each other for a long time, from the battle on Mustafar to A New Hope, and the show retconned that a bit. I know sometimes you have to stretch the plot, like in DB after the defeat of Majin Buu (the events of Super are crammed in like a duck's ass – somehow it still holds together and hasn't broken), but to do it the other way around?
