❣️Hello friends of hive!❣️

This is my contribution to this gathering of talented individuals, where our friend @angelica7 invites us to write and reflect on the theme of the fourth agreement from Don Miguel Ruiz’s book, “Always Do Your Best.” At first glance, this agreement sounds like a demand to work really hard and give it our all nonstop. But what it really means is that giving your best doesn’t mean pushing yourself to the point of exhaustion; in fact, it’s an invitation to learn to recognize your limits. It’s not about doing everything perfectly, but about giving your all from the heart in your day-to-day life—with your family, at work, and with your friends. Although there will be days when your “best” will look amazing because you’re brimming with motivation, clarity, and energy, on other days it will simply mean getting out of bed, making your bed, taking a deep breath, and resolving to keep going.

The truth is that, often, we get frustrated and feel guilty because we expect ourselves to perform at the same level every day. Through this agreement, we learn to maintain a balance: don’t push yourself too hard until you’re exhausted, and don’t underperform out of apathy. Life is dynamic and constantly changing; we mustn’t forget that. Sometimes we get sick, or there are simply days when it seems like everything goes wrong. When you come to understand this and do your best within your actual capabilities at any given moment, you begin to lift a weight off your shoulders. You give yourself the chance to live in peace, acknowledging your efforts and letting go of self-reproach.

From a very young age, I was taught to fight for what I want. I’m certain that when we put enough effort into it, our dreams come true—or at least we try to achieve what we wanted; this applies to various aspects of our lives. I’m a determined person who doesn’t give up easily; if I’m going to make a commitment, I prefer to do it right. I like to persevere, work hard, and reach out to others, although I understand that everyone must walk their own path. I persevere and work hard; I like to help others, but I never do someone else’s work for them. In my daily struggle to achieve my goals and objectives, I give it my all, and I find that the universe smiles upon me; I work with passion and from the heart, and I never put anything off until tomorrow. I always say that if people give wisdom, they’ll receive wisdom; if they give love, they’ll receive love—in other words, if you do your best, you’ll get the best from those around you, and the universe will reward you because your behavior aligns with its universal laws.

Believe in yourself and in your personal success; take it slow, or if you want to move quickly, have no doubt that you’ll get there sooner or later—and if this is the path you’ve been given to follow—even if you stumble, even if you doubt yourself, or if you need to stop and rest, this isn’t about being perfect, but about being happy and never forgetting that we all have questions. The goal is to give it your all so you can live life to the fullest and enjoy what’s around you. In the end, when you recognize and honor your own efforts, you learn to walk with much greater peace.
