Shiny auction lot arrived - Tiny bit of shiny

Auction

It was a while since I bought anything precious metal, but when I had the impulse thought of opening the auction site, I did not hesitate to bid on a lot I liked for some reason. I always love to just browse for random treasures and when something speaks to me, I buy it, usually unplanned before I started my hunt. This was no different.

I will show the first item in this post. It took me a few days before I could find time to grab the camera and take the pictures for the content because this is my final week of maternity leave and I really want to have everything in order in the house before I officially have to work again. Although I can still work around the babies needs as my boss is my hubby, it does actually mean that I have to make sure stuff gets done, while now I can just take it as easy whenever I want to.

Balanced day!

Today was a nicely balanced day, I did some chilling with the baby who then fell asleep on my arm just before the oldest came home. She then kindly offered (by herself) the second day in a row to watch him for some time while I do my thing, gosh I love her, she's such a big help when she takes him off my hands, even for a short bit.

Our bedroom is almost cleared from the clutter after changing rooms recently, I just have to find a few papers that I moved somewhere, and can't remember where, oops. That's what you get from constantly moving things around going from a big apartment to a tiny one. But I found time to take the pictures of the items from the lot I won, so let's see the first one.

A tiny bit of shiny

So far, I only added silver in the collection, that is if you don't count the Goldbacks. I planned on adding gold but so far, only silver happened. In this lot with silver fun items there also was a goldplated item and there was also this tiny bit of gold.

It's just 1/1000th of an ounce, so just worth a few euros but I think it's super cute and I love to have this tiny bit of gold, even if more symbolic in our collection now. I'm looking forward to adding more gold, next time it should be a bit bigger, haha.

  • That's a great feeling seeing your daughter taking some initiative looking after her baby brother. And a valuable experience should some day she have her own family in the future. There will be a lot of teachable moments to come.

1/1000ths is very small. This may become more a common place form of bullion from here on in with prices gradually going sky high. My smallest gold coin is a 0.7gm, I lost the photo but I recall taking a the shot of the gold piece next to a common US 10 cents as a visual reference to scale and size.

Thanks for sharing small packages @thisismylife !PIMP !LADY
