Magi: Skip the Code - Ship the Token!

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Did you ever wanted to launch your own NFT collection but someone scared you off by mentioning smart contracts ? Imagine minting your own drawing series, a collection of your photography, badges for your community, trading cards for your new game, or even tickets for your next event - all without writing a single line of code.

Login, fill in a handful of fields,
sign with Hive Keychain and BOOM,
your collection is live on-chain!

In this video, I show you the new Magi Token SDK, which is now live inside of Altera. The Token SDK includes a drop-in widget that brings full NFT and token management to any Hive app with just a few lines of code. Also it contains headless sdk functions so you can develop your own NFT website without diving deep into Magi or smart contract code yourself.

You'll see how to:

  • Deploy an NFT collection from scratch (build, init, ready in one flow)
  • Mint new NFTs into your collection
  • Deploy your own fungible token and issue new tokens within minutes

Everything runs on the Magi network, signed with Aioha and indexed in a few seconds. If you've been waiting for a simle way to launch collections, mint, and manage tokens on Magi without writing a single contract call by yourself - this is it!

will it be possible to sell a collection by letting others mint it? e.g. I have a 100 piece collection and want too sell them for 100 Hive each; users would then mint them on Altera. And if yes, wen?

Stance: support 0001 — Practical demonstration of how to create and initialize an NFT collection from scratch using the SDK Why it matters: This tool eliminates the technical barrier of complex code, allowing any creator or global community to launch their own digital assets in seconds. For Hive, this means a massive acceleration in the adoption of Web3 and the creation of new decentralized economies accessible to everyone—a major technological advancement and very important for all of us at Hive.

Excellent information. I love all the new things happening on Hive lately. I'm not very familiar with NFTs or tokens, but seeing progress like this excites me a lot because I'm learning. This is excellent information and an incredible step forward for Hive because it simplifies the technology. The fact that anyone can create their own collection or tokens without knowing anything about programming or getting bogged down in smart contracts opens the door for artists, communities, and game creators to grow much faster within the ecosystem. Thanks for sharing it so clearly; it's fantastic.

his is exactly what those of us who are not programmers needed! The idea of being able to launch a photo collection of my town or even tickets for events without touching a line of code is fantastic. Thanks for simplifying the path on the Magi network. Great video

    Hey tibs!!

Im using the Butter... seems to be working good. Question. Does the controlling account need a lot of rcs? i would assume so, right?

That's pretty cool, I cannot but wonder if Splinterlands will move NFT assets to Magi or at least maybe some new collections. That would be cool!

Soon we will have more NFTs than Hive user :)
