‎A Relationship Without Honesty Is Like a House Without Foundation

‎ ‎Honestly, I don't think any relationship can go far without honesty. ‎ ‎It doesn't matter if it is between husband and wife, two friends, family members, or even business partners. At some point, trust will become very important. And for me, trust is something that grows from honesty. ‎

Pixabay ‎ ‎Let's be honest, nobody likes being lied to. Even when the truth is painful, I would still prefer to hear it than to discover later that someone I trusted was hiding things from me. ‎ ‎Sometimes, people lie because they are scared of what might happen if they tell the truth. Maybe they don't want to hurt someone's feelings. Maybe they are afraid of losing the relationship. Or maybe they just want to avoid trouble. I understand that feeling because nobody enjoys having difficult conversations. ‎ ‎But the problem is that one lie can easily become another. ‎ ‎You tell one lie today, then tomorrow you have to create another story to support the first one. Before you know it, you are trying to remember all the things you said just so you don't contradict yourself. 😂 ‎ ‎And when the truth finally comes out, the situation can become much worse than it would have been if you had simply been honest from the beginning. ‎ ‎The biggest damage dishonesty causes is not even the lie itself. It is the loss of trust. ‎ ‎Imagine finding out that someone you trusted has been lying to you for a long time. Even after they apologize, you may start asking yourself questions like, "What else have they lied about?" or "Can I really believe this person again?" ‎ ‎That is where things become difficult. ‎ ‎I also believe honesty makes it easier to solve problems. If something is bothering you in a relationship, talking about it gives both people a chance to understand what is happening. Keeping quiet, pretending everything is okay, or secretly carrying resentment usually doesn't solve anything. ‎ ‎Of course, honesty should not be an excuse for being rude. You can tell the truth without deliberately hurting someone. There is a difference between being honest and being unnecessarily harsh. ‎ ‎Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes. Sometimes we may even make a wrong decision and wish we had done things differently. But admitting your mistake can actually make people respect you more. ‎ ‎Personally, I would rather have someone tell me a difficult truth than give me a sweet lie that will eventually hurt me more. ‎ ‎At the end of the day, relationships need many things to survive: love, patience, understanding, communication and forgiveness. But I believe honesty is one of the things holding all these together. ‎ ‎When honesty disappears, trust starts disappearing too. And once trust is gone, rebuilding the relationship can be very difficult. ‎ ‎ ‎Thanks for Reading ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

Yeah one lie can easily give birth to another and then another and another. It keeps going and can't be stopped. That is why it is better to say the truth and lose a relationship today. Tomorrow it might just come back
