September isn't exactly famous for making crypto investors happy. But 2026 seems determined to mess with that reputation.
After looking at Bitcoin, Solana, and STEEM, let's widen the lens. Ethereum, BNB, and HIVE are showing the same basic message: September has been surprisingly strong.
Ethereum wakes up
Ethereum spent much of July and early August hanging around the $1,800–$1,950 area. Then things got serious.
ETH exploded through $2,000 and rapidly moved above $2,400. It is now trading around $2,570, once again challenging the upper end of its recent range.
The fascinating part is what happened after the enormous August jump. Ethereum didn't give everything back. Instead, it has spent weeks consolidating mostly between $2,400 and $2,550.
Now it is knocking on the door again.
$2,600 looks like the obvious level to watch.
BNB isn't sleeping either
BNB tells a remarkably similar story.
It traded near $600 in August, before exploding toward $700 and eventually reaching almost $780. After dropping back toward $710, buyers returned.
BNB is now around $758.
A return toward $780 would put the recent high back under pressure. That's quite a transformation from the $540–$600 territory seen earlier this summer.
And what about HIVE?
HIVE is the wild child of these three.
It bottomed around $0.038 in August and has since climbed above $0.052 — an increase of roughly 35%.
There have also been some ridiculous intraday wicks above $0.065.
Like STEEM, HIVE is much smaller than ETH or BNB, so those giant candles need to be treated carefully. Low liquidity can create dramatic price movements.
Still, the direction is hard to ignore.
Bitcoin is strong. Ethereum is strong. Solana is strong. BNB is strong. And even STEEM and HIVE have suddenly awakened.
September still has time to disappoint us — crypto is exceptionally talented at that.
But for now?
UpSeptember is looking increasingly real.
And if this momentum survives into October...
Well, Uptober could get very interesting.
