Although I leveled up a total of three Gladiator cards today, the standout among them is the Earth Element's Epic card, "Quora Towershead," which boasts dual attack power. I was initially stunned by its performance when I first encountered it as an opponent; it took quite some time for it to finally join my deck, but pulling my first copy of this card brought me more joy than pulling a Legendary one. After all, a card's power and the strategic advantages it offers matter far more than its rarity. In that regard, it has proven its worth in every single battle, and now that the time has come to upgrade it to Level 2, it is truly an exciting milestone.
Quora Towershead—a Gladiator card with a mana cost of 10—is one of those select few cards in my deck that never disappoints. Right from Level 1, it boasts 2 melee and 2 magic attack power, along with a solid 11 health points and a speed of 3, making it both durable and agile. Beyond that, it possesses two excellent abilities: the signature "Bloodlust" of the Gladiator set—which boosts all its stats by +1 every time it knocks out an opponent—and the "Heal" ability, which restores one-third of its maximum health each round. This means you can repeatedly replenish its already impressive health pool; furthermore, upgrading to Level 2 grants it an additional +1 health. If you safely position this card in the second or third slot of your lineup, it will give your opponents a truly tough time.
Next up is the Life element ranged attack card, Ajax Lightfoot. Since it is a low-mana card, it is naturally excellent for low-mana battles; however, even as a low-mana Rare card, its stats are impressive. I have upgraded it from Level 2 to Level 3, where it now boasts a ranged attack power of 3—a significant feat for a low-mana Rare card. Additionally, it has 5 Health points and a staggering Speed of 6, along with the Gladiator set's signature 'Bloodlust' ability, which allows it to grow progressively stronger during battle. The only stat I find slightly weak is its Health, though hopefully, that will improve at higher levels. I certainly wouldn't place this card on the front line, given that it is a ranged attacker, but I wouldn't want to place it at the very back either, as its Health wouldn't hold up well against cards with the 'Sneak' ability. So, I would position it somewhere in the middle of the lineup, ideally with some form of extra protection—whether that comes from added Armor, better Health, or a teammate with the 'Taunt' ability. That said, if this card survives for 2–3 rounds, it will absolutely devastate the enemy.
The "Witch of Warwick" is a Death-element magic attack card. While it may seem quite basic compared to the other two cards, its magic attack power sets it apart. I upgraded it from Level 3 to Level 4; its stats now include 2 magic attack power, 3 health, and 3 speed points. Beyond these stats, it possesses the "Life Leech" ability in addition to the "Bloodlust" ability. This gives it a unique power: every time the card deals damage to an enemy, its health increases—capped at a 50% increase (meaning it can reach a maximum of 5 health, up from the base 3). This makes it a decent card, though its low initial health makes it difficult for it to survive on the battlefield for long.
