I hope you are doing good great things today and Our situation is great right now, even though there are many challenges, good vibes are always there. By the way, I just have something else to share that will inspire us in our daily lives.
Yesterday, I prepared the coffee beans that I had laid out to dry in the sun.
Once they were dry, I placed them in a mortar and pounded them with a pestle. I worked slowly so the dry outer skins would come off without crushing the beans. I also stirred them from time to time to help process them evenly.
After pounding the coffee, I picked through the beans and separated them from the skins and small pieces.
The work took some effort, but I enjoyed seeing the coffee change from dried fruit into clean beans. I learned that patience and care are important so the beans stay whole and the unwanted pieces can be removed properly.
It was a fun and meaningful experience for me. I realized that processing coffee takes time and hard work.
Even simple tools like a mortar and pestle can be very helpful in preparing the beans. Yesterday, I got to experience a traditional way of processing coffee and gained a greater appreciation for the effort that goes into every cup we drink.
Anyways,This is what we called: Alho and Lusong (Mortar and Pestle) is a traditional wooden tool used in the Philippines for pounding rice and corn and coffeebeans.
The Lusong is the large wooden mortar, and the Alho is the long wooden pestle used to pound the grains,coffeebeans and corn.
