Do you think society expects women to be strong all the time, even when they need support? Definitely yes. Sometimes I feel that our current environment pushes us to maintain an unyielding strength. It gives the impression that because we have managed to achieve independence and move forward, we are no longer allowed to falter or ask for help.

To understand where this comes from, I think we need to look back at the historical moment when women began fighting for their spaces, their rights, and equality in society and work. Fighting for equality is extremely valuable, but that does not mean we have stopped being human beings who, at certain moments, need the support of a man. One thing does not cancel out the other.
It seems to me that the real difference between one woman and another does not lie in her background, her money, or her social status. The true difference lies in the soul or the spirit, as some prefer to call it , which is where feelings, emotions, and above all, willpower reside.
That is the key word: willpower. Not all of us have the same tastes or the same disposition to do the same things. There are women passionate about mechanics who train in that trade; others are drawn to aviation and fly airplanes; others choose science or outer space.
The same thing happens in daily home life. There are women who are completely self-sufficient in the most practical sense: they paint their houses, handle electricity or plumbing issues, carry heavy bags up any flight of stairs, and hoist a water jug onto their shoulder without breaking a sweat. They say they don't need anyone for that, and that is perfectly fine. But there are others of us who are not like that.
Even if we are independent, work, and handle most of our lives, there are tasks where we do need a hand. For example, fixing a faulty light point, changing a lamp, repairing a leaking water faucet, or carrying heavy groceries up to the apartment. Not all of us have that physical strength, that skill, or simply the desire to learn those trades, and acknowledging that does not make us any less women or any less capable.
I think there is a two-way problem here. On one hand, we ourselves have projected an image of absolute self-sufficiency that feeds this social demand of having to be strong all the time. And on the other hand, society and men have bought into that facade, assuming that women who need support no longer exist.
It will take a lot more empathy from both sides: understanding that not all of us are the same, that independence does not erase vulnerability, and that allowing ourselves to receive help does not diminish anyone's merit. In the end, the balance lies in knowing that we can fly high, but that it is also okay to accept a helping hand along the way.
