Randomly a friend just texted that he wanted to give this one place a go. A place we never realized it's there. An old-school-looking place with loads of tables. A very old-school-looking sign with a red background and gold text. A menu is something very Chinesey. You can feel the differences between this and the Thai food menu.
We ordered tofu stir-fried with tomatoes just like we'd order at any other Chinese place. Roasted mushrooms with soy sauce. Deep-fried pork ribs. and the highlight of this meal is deep fry buns! OMG!
The buns can be eaten with both sweet and savory stuff. Savory? Just pair it with a stewed pork leg. Sweet? Maybe dip it into a bowl of sweeten condensed milk.
I quite like the place and the food. Feel like we ate authentic Chinese food at an OG restaurant
