I've really enjoyed the bosses in this game and I presume that this is one of the final ones seeing as how long I have played the game (about 5 hours). This is not a long game, it is a story-oriented linear game with a bit of exploration.
There are spoilers ahead! You have been warned!
The visuals are great, the story that it tells is fantastic as well and the controls are simple. The bosses are always entertaining as well because they fights don't happen in traditional settings. Since you have been reduced to a very small size by the spell, you are very small compared to the enemies that you face.
Before you face the "Rake Lady" you are told a bit of a story bout her and how she protects the island that you need to get to, among other creepy things. The trope of having a guardian of a boat is not a new thing, but i've never encountered a situation quite like this one.
So there you are, minding your own business in a rowboat that you just found after being chased by zombies across a bridge and you are calmly rowing towards the island behind you. Little did you know that some spectre with a rake is going to appear behind you, and isn't too thrilled about the fact that you want to visit the island she is protecting for some reason.
You carry on completely unaware of her looming behind you and then you get whooshed away to a very creepy, very unique and very bizarre bossfight yet again.

It starts out simple enough with you using your little light to hit her in the eyes, this is nothing new and it was expected. But we all know it isn't going to remain that simple, it never does especially not in a creepy game like this one.

This will get you the first time. Nobody was expecting a giant face to appear on the floor below you and swallow you up but that is exactly what happens. You'll never fall for this one again because the only thing you need to do to get around this is to keep moving from side-to-side when there is a phase shift. You would be a food to try to dish out damage at this point.

While this entire fight is indeed interesting, the one that got me the most was when a bunch of her faces appear on the wall. You have to act quick during this because after you zap one of the faces with your light, one of the remaining 5 is going to change and have some sort of worms coming out of it. This is the one you need to get before time runs out. Do it not, and your run is done!

Later, and these do not necessarily happen in this order btw, she will appear in the distance with a giant rake and swing it at you. This is one of the more difficult parts of the game because if you are moving it becomes difficult to line up where the "tines" of the rake are. You have to jump at the last minute in order to avoid getting hit. Other times the rake will be with the tines facing down and you need to anticipate where this is and remember to NOT jump because if you do you get your head knocked off.

THe part where she spits a bunch of rats at you is the scariest, but also the most easy to avoid. Just keep your wits about you and find a space between two rats that are running towards you. In most of the groupings there will be space between all of them but with some exceptions. If you end up in one of the places that has no gap, that's just unlucky and you have to start over.
Those are basically all the attacks that she has, I may have missed one but the point of the matter is that you are only going to know how to get past these various parts either by "cheating" online and looking it up before it starts (lame) or you figure it out by doing it wrong, which is what I normally do.
None of this is very hard so I recommend going in blind and that is why I put a spoiler alert at the top there.
Another good thing is that although this fight takes place in 3 stages, it checkpoints you once you get past each part of it. She takes a lot of hits to kill but you don't need to worry about going all the way back to the start if you do get caught by the rake on an unlucky positioning.
I actually left the game during this fight about a month ago and didn't feel like trying anymore. Then when i would think about pulling it back up, I thought it might be too hard, so I didn't bother. Well one night I was just the right amount of buzzing from the beers I had and it only took me 2 tries to finish the final stage of attacks.
That's one thing I really love about this game. The controls and the situations you find yourself in are simplistic enough that even after a month away, and not even looking at what the controls are, I was able to jump right back in. I can't really say this is the case with most of the other games I play.
As I mentioned before this game is free or near free for all platforms other than Nintendo, who never lowers their prices. I recommend picking it up!
