Today I want to share this series of photographs I took a few months ago when I visited the Valencia Zoo in Carabobo State. It was a place I used to frequent whenever I was in the area when I lived in Valencia, and this time I decided to visit because I spent a few days there during Carnival this year.

Although I didn't bring my camera, I took advantage of the opportunity to capture some scenes of the zoo, especially of the animals there. Among them, we can see beautiful snakes, birds, fish, and other species in captivity. This zoo's mission is to rescue animals in danger, which is why they end up here. Most of the time, they spend their entire lives here until they can successfully reintegrate into their natural habitat.

Therefore, in addition to what has already been said, this zoo takes advantage of its space to allow people to visit and learn about the different species that exist in our country. Although I couldn't say for sure about the ostrich, as it's not a native species, there are some in different zoos around the country. So, this is a visual glimpse of this place where several beautiful species live together and receive proper care. Of course, there are many more animals that I haven't shown in this series, but these are the ones that caught my attention.

All photographs are my own.
