In today's featured posts, we're taking all sorts of trips around Venezuela: we're visiting the colorful capital city of Margarita Island, strolling along the beach on the banks of the Orinoco River, and visiting an interesting museum in the city of Cumaná. We'll also be visiting other places around the world, like Italy, Turkey, Cyprus, and Portugal—a little bit of everything!

Hello, friends at Worldmappin. It’s a pleasure to greet you. Today, I’d like you to join me on a very simple but colorful stroll through the streets of La Asunción, the beautiful colonial capital of Margarita Island in Venezuela. While walking through this city is already a unique experience, it has now become a true open-air gallery. With these beautifulo works of art, the second edition of the “Ciudad Mural” project is coming to a spectacular close, reaching an impressive total of 32 permanent works of art throughout the capital.

🥈 Sardinata Beach - Exploring the Beach by the River [Esp-Eng] by @jemima1996
Puerto Ayacucho, in Amazonas state, is surrounded by the Orinoco River. Something I find really crazy is that sometimes you’re walking through a community and, out of nowhere, you come to the river. This is a good thing for the townspeople because they fish year-round, although there are clearly some months that are better for fishing than others. But even though it has its drawbacks, it’s also a form of entertainment and fun for everyone who lives near the river.

🥉 Whale Skeleton and Reptile Area (Eng/Esp) by @saavedraa
We began our exploration at the Maritime Museum in Cumana. As soon as we entered, the change in lighting was striking; it felt as if we were in a parallel universe. I would even say it was designed that way to give the sensation of entering the depths of the ocean. At the start of the tour, we were greeted by a chalkboard featuring drawings of marine animals created by children who had previously visited the museum.
