The Importance of the Environment

If we spend a day at the fish market—even if we aren’t working there, or even if we haven’t even touched the fish—we end up leaving with the smell of fish lingering on our clothes and skin.

When we walk past a perfume shop—even if we don’t put any perfume on—we walk away smelling good and feeling good, with our energy levels high.

Our environment always ends up influencing us and leaving a mark on us. If we spend the day with someone who is constantly complaining about life, we end up, in some way, seeing only negativity in everything around us.

If we spend time with people who are always making excuses for everything, we’ll never be able to change, nor make any decisions aimed at changing anything.

Many of us have listened to a few podcasts, or have even spent part of a day in the company of people who take action, and we’ve been almost magically inspired to change.

People who are grateful help us see blessings everywhere—even in many things we hadn’t previously been thankful for and had simply taken for granted.

Our environment always ends up influencing us, and much more than we can rationally imagine. There’s a certain degree to which our internal tuning fork attunes itself to the tuning forks of those around us… The vibration of others influences our own vibration, and we may no longer even be able to make the frequency of our “A”—our 440 Hz—resonate throughout our entire body.
