Hello, dear friends at @Womentribe—greetings and blessings. It’s a pleasure to stop by, and this time I’m here to participate in the Initiative by @syllem, and I invite @yaslenysofia to participate.

I have to say that—sociable? Well, not really, haha. I’m not the type to show my true self to everyone; it’s not that I want to pretend to be someone I’m not, but rather that I simply prefer to fly under the radar and see who is truly capable of getting to know the real me. As for feeling isolated—I certainly felt that way during my teenage years, though not so much anymore. Perhaps it’s because I’ve learned what I really like, who I am, and who I should actually be with. I’ve realized that pretending to be someone else just to gain acceptance isn't worth it; it’s better to walk away and stick with the few who value you exactly as you are—flaws and all—because, in the end, that’s who you are and you can’t change it. The people who appreciate you do so for who you really are, even if it is inevitable that, with some people, you have to keep certain parts of yourself hidden.

There have been very few friends or family members with whom I could truly be myself without fear of criticism—especially when I’m acting silly or goofing around. I love to joke—good-naturedly, of course; I’m not into double entendres, just silly antics to get a laugh. I used to do this with anyone, but people would criticize me, or if I needed to vent—even about something trivial—they’d respond in a way that ultimately made me feel bad. That’s how I learned you can’t do that with just anyone; you have to figure out who is actually capable of listening to you or appreciating you for who you are—whether you’re serious or funny. Personally, I’m much more of a homebody than a party animal; most of my cousins loved going to clubs, while I was the odd one out who had absolutely no interest in that. It really didn’t appeal to me in the slightest—I preferred staying home to watch anime, and that’s still the case today, haha.

I’ve learned that everyone has their own tastes, and that doesn't mean you have to isolate yourself; you just have to respect what others like or dislike. As for my social life—well, it’s not exactly at its best right now, but I can change that and learn along the way so I can interact better with others and feel good about it. It’s all about observing the people around you and paying attention to how you feel, while realizing that some people will naturally accept who you are and others won't. After all, you can't please everyone—you just have to treat people normally and live comfortably, accepting yourself first without letting others affect you or feeling the need to hide who you are./div>
