hello
How are you all, my friends? I hope you're all well and staying motivated.
What I'm doing now and what I'm feeling now are all the fruits of my stubbornness. I don't consider it a bad action or bad behavior; in fact, I consider it a principle. For me, principles are essential for determining a person's direction and authority. However, I still accept suggestions and criticism from others to improve myself.
My stubbornness used to force my parents to work harder to meet my needs. At that time, our country was in the midst of an economic crisis, and my family was of modest means. When I wanted to enter college, I was faced with two choices: struggle to enroll in nursing school to pursue my dreams, or work to earn money to support the family and put my dreams on hold. I...
Advice from my parents, family, and friends told me to just work because the economy was currently struggling and only continue my studies when the economy improved. I thought about it for a long time. I'd seen many of my friends who'd decided to take a break to earn money and then continue their education. I felt it was all a lie, because the lure of money would cloud their minds and prevent them from continuing their education, as they were all reluctant to return to school.
So I persisted in continuing my education in the city. Many said I was stubborn and couldn't be persuaded, but for me, this was a principle, and I had to fight for it. My parents, seeing my seriousness in continuing my education, gave their blessing, and they were forced to sell their rice fields to pay for my studies in the city.
Although I faced many obstacles and challenges while studying in the city, I remained determined to prove that I could complete my studies and make my parents proud. Three years later, I successfully completed my diploma in nursing. When I returned to my hometown, I was able to help my parents and the villagers by getting primary health care before being referred. I went to the hospital, and I became a source of pride for my parents and family because I was able to make a difference and make it easier for them to access healthcare.

This is the great success I achieved because of my stubbornness, and I am very grateful for what I have now. However, stubbornness doesn't always bring positive changes. There are also negative impacts that arise from stubbornness.

Recently, my marriage nearly fell apart due to my stubbornness. It started two years ago when I invited my mother to live in our house because she lived alone. Initially, my wife suggested that she live in another house closer to us so she could visit us daily. But I ignored her and insisted that she live in the same house as us.
At first, things were very harmonious and went according to my wishes. However, for some reason, in the past few months, my mother has become very resentful of my wife and her family, to the point that she has spoken very harshly to my wife and insulted her. She has also forbidden my wife's nephew from visiting. I didn't want to come home and also forbade my in-laws from visiting.
Once, my wife complained to me and explained what was happening, but I just ignored her and told her to be patient because my mother was old. The argument continued until my wife could barely stand it anymore and asked to go home to her parents' house. I only realized how serious this was. At first, I scolded my wife, but then I learned the truth.
To this day, I don't know what to do. I won't choose between the two, because they are both people I love very much. If I had listened to my wife's advice to move my mother into another house, perhaps this wouldn't have happened. Now, it's impossible because, in my mother's opinion, we're kicking her out. I really don't know what to do. This is a terrible incident due to my stubbornness.
I hope that the future will be better for my family, and I always pray for that.
