Well, first of all, I should mention that I watched this movie on Prime Video back when it was available on the platform; I’m not sure where you can watch it right now, though I assume Crunchyroll is likely its home. Anyway, I want to share this movie with you because it’s my favorite in the entire One Piece franchise. The animated series has countless episodes, and there are several other movies as well, but this is the one I’ve enjoyed the most.
Bueno, principalmente, debo decir que esta película la vi a través de Prime Video en un momento en el que estuvo disponible en la plataforma, pero actualmente desconozco dónde lo puedes ver, pero supongo que Crunchyroll debe ser el hogar de esta. Bueno, entre otras cosas, quiero compartir con ustedes esta película porque es mi favorita de todo One Piece. La serie animada tiene un sinfín de episodios, al igual que aún existen algunas películas; aun así, esta es de las que más he disfrutado de todas.
One Piece Film: Gold follows the adventures of the iconic pirate crew in a setting that is new to them. While at sea, they encounter the Gran Tesoro—a ship-casino so immense that, due to its scale and independent nature, it is considered a sovereign nation. It is owned by the "Casino King," Gild Tesoro, who possesses the ability to manipulate any gold he has touched; this allows him to control not only the ship itself but also every object within it, as the entire vessel is constructed from the metal.
One Piece Film: Gold sigue las aventuras de la icónica tripulación de piratas en lo que sería un nuevo lugar para ellos. Aquí, ellos en medio del mar se topan con el barco/casino Gran Tesoro, un barco tan inmenso que es considerado un país por su autenticidad y magnitud, propiedad del “Rey del Casino”, Gild Tesoro. Este puede controlar el oro que ha tocado, controlando tanto el barco como cada objeto que hay en él, pues todo está hecho de este metal.
I was captivated by every scene in this movie; the aesthetic was brilliant, lovely, and polished, clearly reflecting the high quality invested in the characters and the story. We are all familiar with the enduring quality of One Piece—renowned for its narrative featuring pirates with superpowers or extraordinary abilities—and this film is yet another testament to that. Although the setting is fantastical, it is a place rife with shady dealings. As we get to know the crew of this ship, we see that they thrive on scams and deception, turning people into debt slaves—debts they unfairly foist upon players, ensnaring even children in the process.
En cada escena de esta película me quedé encantada, pues en su estética todo era brillante, muy lindo y pulcro; se nota la calidad puesta en sus personajes y en su historia. Pues, todos sabemos la calidad y durabilidad de One Piece, conocido por su trama con piratas con superpoderes o habilidades extraordinarias, y esta es una muestra más de esto. Realmente, este, a pesar de ser un lugar fantástico, es un lugar donde abundan las cosas turbias. Mientras vamos conociendo a los integrantes de este barco, vemos que viven de la estafa y el engaño, creando esclavos por deudas que ellos mismos hacen que los jugadores obtengan injustamente, tanto así que hay hasta niños involucrados.
When I said this is my favorite from One Piece, I wasn't lying; I remember that I saw this one years ago on a sleepless night, because I couldn't sleep, and I put it on without expectations to see if I could sleep, but it was a mistake, it really kept me awake because of how great it was. I had already seen some episodes of the series; We all know how exuberant it is, with more than a thousand episodes. Really, I haven't disliked any of the ones I've seen; On the contrary, I understand how extensive it is; We should not deny the creativity and originality in this. I actually only saw 30 episodes, and it's still nowhere near the crew that this movie is, but I'm still grateful that this movie gave me a glimpse of what the Straw Hats crew is all about.
Cuando dije que esta es mi favorita de One Piece, no mentí; recuerdo que esta la vi ya hace años en una noche de insomnio, pues no podía dormir, y la coloqué sin expectativas para ver si lograba dormir, pero fue un error, realmente me quitó el sueño de lo genial que fue. Yo ya había visto algunos episodios de la serie; ya todos sabemos lo exuberante que es, con más de mil episodios. Realmente, ninguno de los que he visto me ha disgustado; al contrario, entiendo lo extensa que es; no debemos negar la creatividad y originalidad en esta. Yo realmente vi apenas 30 episodios, y ahí aún no está ni cerca de ser la tripulación que es esta película, pero aun así agradezco que esta me ofreció una visión de lo que es la tripulación de los Sombreros de Paja.
If you want to enjoy a One Piece animated movie that offers a great introduction to its universe, don't hesitate to look for it on the platform available in your country. I watched it on Prime Video years ago, but it’s no longer available there in Colombia—though you can always find it on Crunchyroll. Right now, I’m finishing up the live-action series, which has been keeping me excited and thoroughly entertained.
