Perhaps There Is No Single Purpose

I have been asking myself this question over and over again. I often wonder why we get up every morning and work ourselves to death in order to make a living. Why do we stress about paying bills and responsibilities and the future and the things we have yet to accomplish? Should our life only depend on making money to pay bills and living the same dull and depressing day over and over again? I don't think that's the case.

I think money is important. I think we all need enough money to take care of ourselves and our loved ones and provide for them and give them a good quality of life. But if this is all life is about, then what's the point of getting all the money once you get enough to be content? Would we suddenly feel complete? Obviously not.

For me, purpose can be found in much smaller things. It can be having something to look forward to. It can be learning something that makes us curious. It can be taking care of the people we love. It can be creating a life where we have more freedom to make our own choices.

Sometimes purpose can even change. What feels important to us at twenty may not matter as much at thirty. Something we once worked extremely hard for might eventually become just another memory. And that's okay. I don't believe that we are supposed to have our whole lives planned out for us.

Sometimes I don't feel motivated to doing anything. Like I would get up and do the things that need to be done and in the end of the day go to sleep. Nothing feels particularly meaningful. But I don't think those days mean that our life has no purpose. Maybe sometimes we are simply surviving a difficult chapter before reaching a better one.

I don't think purpose needs to be something exclusive. We don't all need to change the world. Maybe having a peaceful life is enough. Maybe being there for someone when they need us is enough. Maybe building something that makes us happy is enough.

Perhaps the real purpose of life is not one specific thing that we discover once and never question again. Maybe it is something we create along the way. We work today so that, perhaps, tomorrow can be a little better. We study today so that, maybe, there can be things we know about tomorrow. We try today so that, possibly, there will still be things that we haven't experienced yet.

And this is probably the answer I'm comfortable with for now. I don't know what my purpose in life is.But I know that I want to move forward and find out. Furthermore, I believe different people might have different opinions about this topic and our ideology could be different but that does not make me right and them wrong. I have learned to except that people are all different and they will always make different choices in life.

I believe most of the people has no purpouse but support someone who is about to discover it. And those to have it sometimes leave theirs along the way..

The question can leave us with numerous answers at first, or even without a particular answer, but as times goes on, we’ll definitely find the answer we seek.
