I think we all have free will. However, some people don’t realise and some people are just too scared to use it. People are scared of being abandoned by their parents or making their family look bad in society. But will society pay your bills? Will these people help you? Why are you letting them decide how you live?
We are all part of society however, do we really care about everyone?Whilst you are sleeping soundly, there are people begging on the streets in the cold. Whilst you are eating, there are people starving. We are all part of society so why aren’t we helping them? Most people don’t even see the poor as humans. They see them as ants that can easily be stepped on. These people can do what they want and no one seems to care. However, once you are in the middle class or have money, everyone has an opinion. Family, friends, neighbours and even people who don’t know you will have an opinion. And you will listen. Why?
Many people don’t make their own decisions due to being scared of losing the people around them. Sometimes they do things to make their parents happy however it isn’t out of love. It is out of fear that they will be left alone as they have nowhere to go. If you are aware of yourself and want to break free you need to stop being scared. Take back the power you gave to someone.
If you are over 18 yet you have to abide by every rule your parents set, are you really living your life? Or are you just a product that they are trying to sell? You have your own dreams, opinions and decisions. If you are constantly telling yourself you can’t do anything as it is out of your control you are going down the wrong path. You always have a choice.
Be a rebel! Be reckless! If you love your freedom don’t let someone have power over your whole life. You have to fight for your freedom otherwise you may never get out. It won’t be an easy path and your parents may even start to hate you. Then ask yourself, did they really love you? If they turned against you when you wanted something for yourself. Sometimes the answers aren’t nice nd you need to be honest with yourself. Don’t take the easy route as it may make you regret it for the rest of your life.
Free will can also have a negative side. People can abuse their freedom. They can murder, r*pe and abuse. This is why there are laws in place to stop people doing these awful things. Free will does not mean you can do what you want. Some actions can cause irreversible damage and some things cannot be forgiven. We have to think carefully about our choices. So there is a difference between wanting to harm someone and wanting to live your own life.
Don’t waste your one life worrying about what people will say. You have control over your decisions so take responsibility for them and embrace your life. You shouldn’t use the consequences as an excuse to lose your freedom. It is your life and you should be willing to make the most of it.
