A completely free Saturday and an unlimited budget? These days the weekends dont even seem like weekends again. I think most people would expect me to say I would immediately book a flight somewhere and spend the day travelling. Honestly, I would love to do that, but there is one small problem, the places I actually want to visit are not exactly places I can properly experience in a single Saturday. If I’m going somewhere, I want to take my time, explore, eat good food, see the sights and actually enjoy being there. I wouldn’t want to spend half the day travelling just to rush back home.
So, the first thing I would probably do is make investments. Having unlimited money for one day would be a great opportunity to put some of it somewhere that could continue working for me long after that Saturday is over. I would look into real estate, buy some properties in places with good potential, and put some money into stocks as well. I know that might sound like a very serious answer to a question that is supposed to be about having fun, but I think I would enjoy it and that's just me.
The second thing I would do is go on a restaurant hopping adventure. There are so many restaurants I have wanted to try but never actually gotten around to visiting. I would pick several restaurants, preferably ones offering completely different kinds of food, and spend the day trying things I have never eaten before. Probably pay for everyone there too. Lol. Then id probably go to some restaurants and book the whole place, crazy as it sounds i really like spending my time alone and since I would be alone, I could take my time, order whatever caught my attention and not have to worry about anyone else's preferences. Basically, Saturday would become my personal food tour.
And then there is the third one, which probably sounds completely out of place compared to investments and fine dining. I would buy a PS5 and a bunch of gadgets. Yes, I know. 😂 It doesn't sound nearly as ambitious as buying real estate or travelling around the world(for some) but if I am being completely honest, that's exactly what I would want. I would probably get the PS5, a good television, headphones, controllers, some games and whatever other gadgets I have been telling myself I don't really need. There is no point pretending I would spend every minute of my unlimited budget Saturday making serious financial decisions. Sometimes you just want to buy the thing you've been wanting for a while and enjoy it.
Actually, I think that combination says a lot about me. I would want to do something that benefits my future, something that lets me enjoy the present, and something that is simply for myself. Real estate and stocks for the future, good food for the experience, and a PS5 because, well... cos I want a PS5.
