Aerial Shieldmaiden: The Armored Strike Specialist That Stepped Up When Warborn Shaman Wasn’t Available.

Good day, summoners! This is @zusi78. How is the grinding going on your end?

At the moment, I just unlocked Division 4 and I’m pushing hard to unlock Division 3 before the weekend. In addition — and the main purpose of this post — I brought in a Water unit to fortify my deck collection. It is none other than Aerial Shieldmaiden.

When the season started, I could not lay my hands on one of my favorite Water units — Warborn Shaman — at the level I wanted. So in her stead I rented Aerial Shieldmaiden(level 4).

Aerial has given my deck excellent support, especially through her Armored Strike ability, which makes it feel like she is attacking twice. She also has great synergy with my Archon Cryptic, particularly when she is granted the Poison ability. The reason I love Warborn Shaman is the Ambush ability she brings to my deck. I really miss her. I would love to see both in my collection someday.

Before I continue: I am currently on a 166-day daily missions streak. I have also resumed playing Frontier Ranked, mainly because of the new cards Splinterlands just introduced into that mode. After finishing today’s daily missions, I pulled the following:

Those cards on Gold Foil are awesome. The new frontier dashboard design is looking cool 😍.

Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stas, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building.Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥.Now back to the topic of discussion which was AERIEL SHIELDMAIDEN.

FEATURED CARD.

Aerial Shieldmaiden is a Rare Water unit from the Tortisian bloodline (Conclave Arcana edition). She is an 8-mana ranged attacker designed for medium-to-high mana caps and shines as a high-value backline damage dealer once she unlocks her signature ability.

At full max, it has 4 ranged attack, 8 health, 4 armour and 3 speeed.

Abilities Breakdown.

Flying (from Level 1).

  • +25% chance to evade physical (melee/ranged) attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake. This makes her surprisingly durable against many common physical attackers.

Opportunity (from Level 1).

  • Always targets the enemy unit with the lowest health. Perfect for picking off weakened backline units or finishing low-HP threats before they can act.

Armored Strike (unlocked at Level 4 / Silver).

  • While she has armor remaining, she gains an additional melee attack that deals damage equal to her current remaining armor. This is the game-changer. She effectively attacks twice in one turn — once with her normal ranged attack and once with a melee strike based on her armor. Pair her with Protect (or other armor-boosting effects) and that secondary hit can become very substantial (players frequently report total damage outputs of 8–10+ per round when armor is kept high).

Watch This Battle: The total mana cap for this battle was 36,and you are to choose splinters from fire, water, life and dragon. The ruleset are:

Aerial Shieldmaiden has stepped up nicely in place of Warborn Shaman for me this season. She doesn’t bring Ambush, but the Armored Strike + Opportunity combination delivers a different kind of pressure that has been carrying games. I’m still hoping to add a properly leveled Warborn Shaman to the collection one day so I can run both — but for now, this Tortisian warrior is holding the fort very well.
