The Bluff (2026) is not a fun, light-hearted pirate movie. Directed by Frank E. Flowers and co-written with Joe Ballarini, this film is darker, more violent, and much more personal than most pirate stories. It stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Ercell Bodden and Karl Urban as Captain Connor. The movie is a little over 100 minutes long(exactly 1hr:43mins:41secs to be precise).

Connor takes the gold and still kills her husband.That moment proves the gold was never enough.
Later, after the gold is destroyed and many of his men are dead, Connor’s second-in-command (Lee) confronts him.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is strong in the lead role. She plays both a protective mother and a dangerous former pirate convincingly. Karl Urban is very effective as the obsessive villain. Their past relationship gives the story real emotional weight.
The action is rough and realistic — sword fights, traps, and close combat rather than big special effects. The island setting feels authentic.
